Polish ‘M Halloween 2020 Collection!
Today I have swatches of the Halloween 2020 collection from Polish ‘M! This collection is a set of 6 polishes with amazing formulas. These will be great for Halloween but I also feel these would work any time of year as they’re just as beautiful as they are spooky. This collection is limited edition and will not be restocked. These will be available this Saturday (September 26th) at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern Time) on the Polish ‘M website. As always, I’ll have all of the links to the makers socials at the end of this post.
Disclaimer: I was sent these products as PR in exchange for photographs and an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. My photos were taken indoors with daylight bulbs, outdoors with natural light using a peel off base coat plus both matte and glossy top coats.
Basic Witch
Description: A lemon lime green crelly with black matte glitter and purple metallic glitter.
Price: $10
Basic Witch is very unique looking. I never would have thought that I would like a polish like this. It is so perfect for Halloween! Something about the color paired with the glitter mix is very creepy looking. The glitters spread out really well and I didn’t need to do anything special to get good glitter coverage. It was opaque in 2 coats but I found that to get the color you see in the bottle, a third coat was needed. 1 coat of top coat smooths out the glitters in this nicely.
Hallow-Queen
Description: A smoky navy blue with a soft holo effect and purple to blue shifting iridescent glitter.

Hallow-Queen is STUNNING! I just love polishes like this. It looks more of a blue leaning teal to me but I’ve found that when something gets called “smokey navy” if it’s not greyed out, my brain says it’s teal. This had great coverage on the first coat but my photos show it in 2 coats. It did dry down with a slight texture but that smoothed out with 1 layer of top coat. No staining issues to report but a base coat is always recommended.
Let’s Get Smashed
Description: A gunmetal grey with purple shimmer, magic silver holo flakes, red to orange shifting UCC flakes and orange, red and purple metallic glitter.

Let’s Get Smashed to me was like a mash of when Halloween meets the 4th of July. I’m not sure why my brain always goes to the 4th of July when I see red and blue together but it does. The holographic element is really glamorous and I was sad that I wasn’t able to catch this in the sunlight. The glitters spread out evenly and easily. I found this was just on the edge of being a 2 coater. The third coat did seem to deepen the color just a bit.
No Rest For The Wicked
Description: A blackened deep green with blue to green shifting iridescent glitter and orange/green/gold shifting iridescent UCC flakes.
Price: $10
No Rest For The Wicked is a glamorous deep green. It looked amazing out in the sun and the flakies looked great matte. For people who are strictly seasonal color wearers, this would be a good fall to winter transition color.
Spider Cider
Description: A dove grey crelly with purple shimmer and sapphire metallic glitter.
Price: $10
Spider Cider blew my mind with the purple shimmer. It’s so beautiful paired with the light grey base color. In most lighting, the shimmer is so strong that the polish looks purple. The shimmer and metallic glitters come alive with top coat. This did seem to dry a bit sheer so I added a third coat. I found that I liked the glitter payoff more in 3 coats than I did in two.
Unpleasant Dreams
Description: A cranberry jelly with black matte glitter.
Price: $10
Unpleasant Dreams had a very smooth jelly formula. I was a little confused when I first started applying this because it was looking like a vibrant pink color on the first 2 coats. It was opaque in 2 coats but to get the cranberry color that’s in the bottle, a third coat is needed. I had some difficulty getting this to photograph color accurate (it was looking pink like in the bottle and brush shots) so I did have to color correct my photos.
I really enjoyed this collection. All of the formulas were great and I didn’t have any application issues. The polishes with glitter didn’t require any special techniques to get great coverage. So no need to hold the bottles upside down before using them. My top picks were Spider Cider, Hallow-Queen, and Basic Witch.
The Halloween 2020 collection by Polish ‘M will be available tomorrow, Saturday the 26th at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern time on PolishM.com. This collection is limited edition and won’t be restocked. Each polish is $10 but if you buy the whole collection they will be $54 (plus shipping). I will note that Polish ‘M doesn’t ship internationally at this time so unfortunately, this release is US only. Based on how quickly the Fall collection (reviewed here) went, I would recommend getting to the Polish ‘M website early!
