Paint It Pretty Polish December PoTM | Swatch and Review

After much internet troubles today, I am finally getting this post up! Today I have a quick blog post with the December Polish of The Month by Paint It Pretty Polish! It will be available starting on December 1st on the Paint It Pretty Polish website. I will have links and sale details at the end of this post.

If you haven’t heard of this brand before, Paint It Pretty Polish is an indie nail polish brand. Their polishes are handmade in Canada, 5 free, vegan, and cruelty-free. I have reviewed their polishes before and always enjoy the formulas! Btw, I used their flakie topper collection for the banner on this blog!

Resting Grinch Face

Description: a green jelly packed with gold green blue shifting irridescent flakes.

Resting Grinch Face has a smooth and easy to use formula. It felt on the thicker side of normal but I didn’t have any issues getting it to apply evenly and easily. The flakies didn’t drag or leave texture after adding top coat. The coverage in 2 coats was good but just a touch sheer so I went with 3 coats for my photos. The third coat does deepen the color to what you see in the bottle. It’s a gorgeous polish with a shade of green that is seasonally approproiate but also could be worn any time of the year. I had some vnl on the acrylic part of my nail but I don’t think natural nails will have that issue.

I found this could lean just a touch blue/teal depending on the lighting but it’s definitely green. And because I took the time to hold the bottle up to pictures of the various Grinches, this color is most like (in my opinion, based on my monitor settings) the Jim Carey version of The Grinch. The base paired with flakie colors looked most similar to that Grinch.

Resting Grinch Face will be available, December 1st on the Paint It Pretty Polish Etsy page. The price is $11 CAD for a 15ml bottle, which is around $8.65 USD. Paint It Pretty does ship internationally. This polish will be available for the entire month of December and will be replaced by the January PoTM on January 1st! At the time of posting this, the November PoTM is still available. I have a review for that here.
