Howdy! I feel like this collection is coming as a surprise to absolutely no one, but Holo Taco is once again collaborating with the YouTuber Safiya Nygaard. My blog post from the first release is linked over here Holo Taco x Safiya Nygaard if you want a refresher on the last collab!
This release is available right now on the Holo Taco website and it is limited edition. At the time of posting everything is still in stock but I imagine that won’t be the case for long! Also at the time of posting Ulta is having a pretty major sale on Holo Taco nail polishes!

Holo Taco is a US based nail polish brand. Their polishes are in 12ml bottles, 10 free, cruelty-free, and vegan.
Dream Eater
Description: Purple linear holographic multichrome polish with a purple/pink/gold shift
Dream Eater reminds me of that time period in the indie space where everyone and their mama was releasing a multichrome + linear holo polish. Ah the good old days.
My photos show Dream Eater in 2 coats. I had a tiny bit of VNL in direct sunlight but it wasn’t enough to justify a third coat.
Girly Ghoul
Description: Crushed holographic formula in an icy lilac shade with blue micro-shimmer
My swatch shows Girly Ghoul in 3 coats. This will probably be a 2-3 coater depending on your nail length.
The blue shimmer in here has a very slight purple color shift. No texture.
Grim Keeper
Description: Grungy deep mauve jelly with blue micro-shimmer
My swatch shows Grim Keeper in 3 coats. I did have some VNL with this one but I think if you work in thicker coats it might not be as obvious.
Moonlight Sacrifice
Description: Sheer sky blue jelly with orange iridescent micro-shimmer
Moonlight Sacrifice is a pretty sheer polish. I found that because my nails are stained pretty significantly, it made the polish pull very orange so the pale blue base wasn’t quite so blue. The shimmer is gorgeous however, it has a green shift at extreme angles.

RIP Bestie
Description: Deep blackened plum with cyan-green iridescent micro-shimmer and scattered holo
RIP Bestie is DARK not quite black dark but dark. I preferred this in 3 coats as it wasn’t quite passable for me in only two. The holographic is very delicate, like “wait am I seeing holographic?” delicate.

Crescent Moon Taco
Description: Holographic silver moon glitter topper with micro holo flakes, silver holo glitter, and blue iridescent glitter
Holo Taco has really been releasing some great chunky glitter toppers this past year and Crescent Moon Taco is one of them! The moon glitters are a bit thinner than what I normally see for crescent moon glitters and they lay down very flat.
All of the glitters disperse well, I would recommend a good shake or keeping the bottle upside down for a few minutes for the crescent moons to not sink completely. Running the bottle through a nail polish shaker wouldn’t hurt but isn’t 100% necessary.
My swatch shows Crescent Moon Taco in 1 coat over a black creme and 3 coats on my bare nail.
Final Thoughts
This was a pretty fun release! I got the collection in the mail yesterday so this was definitely a rush job as far as swatching goes but I enjoyed it more than I had expected.
My top picks are Crescent Moon Taco and Dream Eater. What did you think of this collection?

Sale Information
The Holo Taco x Safiya Volume 2 collection is available right now on the Holo Taco website. Each polish is available in a bundled set with a collection box or individually.
This release is limited edition and expected to sell out. Along side this collection, the brand also restocked the nail polish called Spirit Fingers (image below) from the first collab. At the time of posting it has sold out but will be restocked!
There are also a few non-nail polish items (a nail art mat, lavender cuticle oil, and bat purse) that go along with this collection but I didn't have time to get photos of them I showcased them in my YouTube video though!
