Look who’s back! I know it has been a minute since I had a blog post up but I am (slowly) going to be posting again! For my first post back, I am sharing swatches for the September 2026 Fandom Flakies Box.

For September the theme is the movie The Craft (helloooo Halloween!!!). As always, sale info is at the end of the post!

Fandom Flakies is a monthly indie collaboration between Bee’s Knees Lacquer, Night Owl Lacquer and Ribbits Stickits.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer Light as a Feather

Description: an amethyst jelly with a rainbow of iridescent flakes with a slight holo effect

I used 3 thin coats for this swatch. I didn’t quite get the same color that I saw in the bottle BUT I love the rainbow of flakies.

Night Owl Lacquer We Are the Weirdos

Description: a black jelly filled with crystal flakes that shift orange/copper/gold/green and silver holographic micro flakies

As someone who doesn’t love love black nail polish, this would be the exception. My swatches are in 3 coats but I think this will be a 2-3 coater. I was being a little picky by adding the third coat.

Ribbits Stickits I Drink of My Sisters

Description: a deep blood red base with red metallic micro flakes and silver holo flakes

My swatches show I Drink of My Sisters in 2 coats.

Waterslide decals

For the waterslide decals I used a black linear holo and Cirque Colors Sun Kissed (Amazon or Cirque Colors use code NicoleLovesNails to save 10%) paired with 3 coats of Cracked Polish’s Ridge Filler base coat.

Car freshener

Nature Keeps a Balance scent description: mahogany, amber, saffron, palo santo, sandalwood, citrus, sage and sweet moss, bergamot, violet and hints of patchouli, coconut, and shea

Final Thoughts

This month’s box was fun! The colors are all very Halloween appropriate and formulas were excellent (as one would expect).
