Hi friends! I have another indie polish collab post for you all today. This one is for the June 2024 Hella Handmade Creations! I have the BKL polish to share with you all. Bee’s Knees Lacquer is continuing their series on Belladonna.

Hella Handmade Creations is a monthly indie polish collaboration. Makers each pick their own theme and make a series of polishes based on that theme. Each month brands have a new polish, that is exclusive to the Hella Handmade Creations website.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer – It’s Time That You Burn

Inspiration: the book Belladonna
Description: a steel blue with sky blue light reflective glitter and gold to green ghost flakes. Please note that this formula will be thicker because of the extra light reflective glitter

It’s Time That You Burn as you can tell from my photos, this is a very sheer polish. This will work fantastic as a topper if sheers aren’t your cup of tea.

The brand does warn that this polish is thicker in formulation due to the reflective glitter. While I didn’t personally add any thinner to my bottle, I could see some folks wanted to add a couple of dashes of thinner.

This is a VERY sparkly and reflective polish. While BKL says the base is a steel blue, I wasn’t really able to pick up on the base being tinted. The blue reflective glitters do give this polish an all around blue look though.

My photos show It’s Time That You Burn in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. I also show it in 1 coat on my thumb over a blue creme. The reflective glitter does this polish some texture so two coats of top coat is likely to be needed to smooth everything out. Do NOT scrub this polish off, use the soak off method or a peel off base coat.
