Hi friends! Today I am sharing the April 2025 Fandom Flakies box. For April the theme is The Traitors. Once again I have no clue about what the theme (I believe it is a reality tv show) is but I can say the polishes are beautiful!

Fandom Flakies is a monthly indie collaboration between Bee’s Knees Lacquer, Night Owl Lacquer and Ribbits Stickits.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer Iconic

Description: this is somewhere between sky blue and seafoam with silver metallic flakes

This is a super icy/frosty looking polish. It starts out pretty sheer and all of the opacity comes from the flakies.

I think this looks best in 3 coats. The flakies dry down with that flakie texture so you will need at least one layer of top coat to smooth everything out.

Night Owl Lacquer The Time for Talk is Over

Description: a clear base filled with bronze reflective glitter pigment, aqua metallic flakes and blue/violet multichrome flakes

Few polishes bring me more happiness than when NOL does these clear based flakies + reflective glitter combinations. The sparkle level on this is unreal!

This had a fairly thick formula and it will dry down very textured. You’ll want a minimum of 2 layers of top coat, if you have a glitter smoothing top coat use it!

My swatches show The Time for Talk is Over in 2 coats plus 2 coats of top coat.

P.S unofficially this is my favorite polish from this month’s box. I liked it so much that after I took it off, I put this on my Cindy hand.

Ribbits Stickits You’ve Been Banished!

Description: mustard yellow base with black micro flakies and red chameleon flakies 

I just want to say how happy I am that Ribbits Stickits is making nail polish. This maker knocks every single polish out the park.

In the bottle, You’ve Been Banished! looks like it’s going to be green. I was really confused when I started applying it and discovered that it was actually a mustardy yellow.

It had fantastic formula but it is a little bit sheer. You will have some VNL with in but the flakies largely distract from your nail line.

Car Freshener

Because I’m a Liability! Scent description: Top notes of pineapple, orange, pear, grapefruit, and banana. Middle notes of coconut milk, blackberry, raspberry, and sparkling champagne. On a base of rich vanilla, praline, ozone, subtle musk and a hint of pine

This month’s scent is delicious! It’s very fruity with a hint of the ozone coming in.

Final Thoughts

I know absolutely nothing about the theme of this month’s box so I can’t speak on how these polishes translate from the show. I will say that I think polish wise, this is one of my favorite Fandom Flakies boxes in a minute. I really had fun swatching these.

I don’t like picking top picks from Fandom Flakies since you have to get all of the polishes in order to get one of them. Although I am sure y’all can guess which one is my favorite haha.
