Hi friends! I have another BKL blog post for you all today, this one is for a new charity polish collab revolving around transplant and organ donation being run by Christina Ferrario. There are quite a few different brands taking place and each brand is selecting their own charity to donate to. For more information on the various brands participating, check out the Facebook Group.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer chose to donate all profits of their polish to the charity group The Doorways, whose mission statement is to provide free lodging facility for patients and families who have family members in-patient. For more information on the charity check out their website.

This polish will be available starting on April 19th on the BKL website alongside the Heartless Hunter collection. I’ll have more sale information at the end of this post.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Description: a deep smoky purple with purple shimmer and holo flakes.
Price: $14.50 for 15ml | Cap: None

Grateful had a beautiful formula. Slightly thicker but the kind of thickness that adds to opacity and stays where you put it. After swatching so many sheer polishes back to back from this brand, swatching a polish that reached full opacity was a bit of a shock.

This is jam packed with flakies! They do not dry down textured but give off a ton of holographic sparkle.

My photos show Grateful in 2 coats plus glossy top coat. Nothing in here will be difficult to remove but the flakies will stick to your skin a little.

This polish remind me quite of bit of Hot Dog, which was in Polish Pickup in February of this year. I don’t think these are the exact same base but they are similar.

Grateful goes on sale April 19th on the Bee’s Knees Lacquer website. 100% of profits will be going to the Doorways charity group.
