Hey friends! Today I am sharing some quick swatches of Lilith, Zoya’s newest color of the month. In typical Nicole fashion, I had planned to post this earlier in the month but as I mentioned in the last blog post, I accidentally deleted a bunch of swatches and had to redo them. This swatch was one of the polishes that got deleted.
I purchased this polish using my Zoya rewards program points so all I paid for it was shipping and got 2 other polishes for free with it. Seriously, if you aren’t in the Zoya rewards program SIGN UP. Zoya just announced their holiday/winter collection for the year and I used a coupon and got it 50% off! Using my Zoya link will get you $5 off your first order when you sign up.
Sadly at the time of posting, Lilith is currently out of stock. I am hoping that it gets restocked at some point but I have no idea how limited these colors of the months are. Out of the 4 that have been released, only Zelli is still available.
Zoya is a US based mainstream brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 10 free, vegan and cruelty free.
Lilith
Description: a wearable black illuminated by rose gold flakes and delicate pink micro-glitter
Lilith had an ok but thicker formulation. This is one of those polishes where if you overwork it, you will cause bald spots so apply it in as few strokes as possible, let dry, and apply another coat. It self levels really nicely, so if you do overwork it all you don’t have to worry about ridges.
This is a little sheer on the first coat so it does require building up. Coverage was okay in two coats but I did notice a few light spots. Nothing that made me feel inclined enough to add a third coat but it was an annoyance.
The rose gold flakes and micro glitters do not dry down super textured but the polish does dry down flat so you will need top coat for a glossy finish. I was pretty meh about this polish glossy so I decided to add a matte top coat in hopes of liking it more. It worked, I liked this one a lot with a matte top coat.
My photos show Lilith in 2 coats plus both glossy and matte top coats. Removal won’t be super difficult but I still wouldn’t recommend scrubbing this one off.
I am usually the biggest fan of black based polishes but much like the other colors of the months, I do appreciate that this one feels very seasonally appropriate!
