Continuing with my Sweet & Sour Lacquer posts, we have another collection that made its debut during the Polish & Beauty Expo last weekend! Sadly this collection was exclusive to the 2023 PBE so it is not currently available.

Just like with the Rock Candy collection, I didn’t write any notes while I was swatching as I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a blog post or not. All of the polishes have fantastic formulas and application was 10/10. I’ll save all of my thoughts for the end of the blog post.

Let’s Take A Selfie!

Let’s Take A Selfie! oh how I love holographic anything mixed with reflective glitter! As a sparkle lover, I knew that I was going to love this one. This polish is in a clear base so it will be perfect built up or used as a topper over pretty much any color.

All of the flakies and glitters spread out very evenly with minimal texture. I was pretty surprised that the reflective glitters aren’t more textured. They do not have a sand papery like application or final product. I used one coat of the Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce and that seemed to smooth everything out nicely for me.

I really wanted to also show this one as a topper so I used it in 1 coat on my ring finger over a blue creme.

My photos show Let’s Take A Selfie! in 3 coats plus 1 coat over *Pacifier Suck* from the brand. Removal won’t be super easy due to the glitters, use the soak off method!

The Boba Next Door

This was my favorite of the shimmer this release!

My photos show The Boba Next Door in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Nothing dried textured and easy removal, just messy!

What Are You Wearing?

Final Thoughts

As a shifty shimmer lover, this collection was right up my alley. These are all sheer formulations so there will be some VNL with them. They look AMAZING when used as toppers if that’s your jam.

My favorite from this release is obviously going to be Let’s Take A Selfie! because it is so damn sparkly. My honorable mention is The Boba Next Door.
