Bee’s Knees Lacquer – The Daglan

Inspiration: House of Flame and Shadow
Description: a mid-toned purple base with pink to gold to green aurora shimmer and holo flakes.

The Daglan had a fantastic formula. It does start off pretty sheer so you do need to build it up to gain the opacity.

I loved how the shimmer looks in this polish! The pink to gold shift is largely what you see on the nails but the green shift comes in at extreme angles.

The holographic flakes are a little bit smaller than the ones BKL uses in some of their other polishes but they are still just as holographic. They do not dry down textured and won’t make removal difficult.

My photos show The Daglan in 3 coats plus both glossy and matte top coats. I would this gets like 90% opaque depending on the thickness of your coats. I won’t say this gets 100% opaque, maybe like 90%?

Sweet & Sour Lacquer – Klowning Around

Inspiration: Killer Klowns From Outerspace
Description: multichrome shifting shades of teal, pink, blue, purple, copper, in a black jelly base.

Klowning Around the color shifts on this polish is unreal! I am not usually one for black bases but through in some color shifts and I am down haha.

I had a hard time trying to capture all of them in my photos, this is a lot more color shifty than my photos show. The main color shifts are greenish teal, blue and purple. I found hints of a pinkish color came in at extreme angles.

This had a really good formula, not too thick or too thin. Because the polish is in a jelly base, you do need to build it up to gain the opacity.

I am going to call this a 2-3 coater depending on your own personal preference and application style. If I wasn’t taking pictures of my nails, I would have just worn it in the two coats. I had a little bit of VNL with 2 coats but it was covered up with the third coat.

My photos show Klowning Around in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. This will be a 2-3 coater depending on thickness of coats and personal preference. Nothing in here will be difficult to remove and I had no issues with staining.
