ILNP Wildflowers Spring 2024 Swatches & Review

Hi friends! I am super excited to share a new-to-the-blog brand called ILNP with you all today. The brand gifted me their new Wildflowers collection for Spring 2024.
This collection features 5 shimmer polishes and one holographic flake. Most importantly, 2 of the shimmers feature a similar effect to the fan favorite polish Fairy Dust. ILNP generally releases two seasonal collections with each season and this is the second one.
The Wildflowers collection goes on sale this Friday, April 26th on the ILNP website. ILNP is also available on Amazon. If you pick this collection up during the first week of sales, they’re priced at 10% off. I’ll have more sale information at the end of the post!

ILNP is a US based boutique brand. Their polishes are in 12ml bottles, 7 free, cruelty free and vegan.
Bluebell
Description: a sky-blue jelly with illuminating orange-to-green shimmer and holographic sparkle
Bluebell is starting out this release really strong. This is the first of the Fairy Dust “sibling” polishes.
The formula was really fantastic but it is a fairly sheer polish so you do need to build it up to gain some coverage. Largely it’s the shimmer that’s giving you the opacity so you do not reach full opacity with it. The shimmer is STRONG, in person I was seeing a reddish orange, yellow with green coming in at extreme angles.
My photos show Bluebell in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Nothing in here will dry down textured and removal will be messy.
Flower Child
Description: a sheer soft pink jelly with radiant blue shimmer and holographic sparkle
Flower Child as someone who isn’t generally the biggest fan of soft and delicate polishes, Flower Child was a surprise hit for me.
It had the same formulation as Bluebell, so you once again do need to build it up but you won’t be able to reach full opacity. I was so surprised at how much I loved how this looked on me in two coats but I added a third coat just to see how opaque this one gets.
While the shimmer is blue, due to the pink base on the nail it looks like you have a blue to purple color shift. Or maybe the shimmer does have a purple color shift, I’m not sure which tbh.
My photos show Flower Child in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. The holographic flakies will not dry textured and they won’t make removal difficult, just messy.
I don’t know why but while I was editing this blog post I thought this polish would be similar to Cirque Colors Spoonful Of Sugar Twisted Tea Party Collection. The base colors are different between the two.
Melody
Description: a fiery orange enhanced by an intense orange-to-green shimmer
Melody I was surprised when I read the official description for this polish was describing it as a orange. To my eye, it’s a red that leans orange but color is subjective.
I found Melody had a fantastic formula, this is another sheer polish so you need to build it up to gain the opacity. If you work in thin coats, coverage is a little uneven in two so I would recommend adding a third coat to really deepen the base color and get near complete coverage. You will still have some VNL with this one in three coats but it’s not as obvious as some of the other polishes.
The shimmer in here is a more sparkly larger particle shimmer. While the brand does say that this has a green color shift, I saw so little of the green I would only really say you see a orange to yellow color shift on the nails.
My photos show Melody in 3 coats plus both glossy and matte top coats. I didn’t personally experience any staining with this one and removal will be very easy.
Petals
Description: a vivid magenta blooming with pink-to-orange shimmer
Petals is another one of the more opaque jellies in this release. While I wouldn’t say it’s 100% opaque, it’s pretty close.
Once again, we have a fantastic formula. I had zero application issues. The shimmer gives this polish an almost foil-like look on the nail.
I love all things magenta and paired with the shimmer, I loved how this one looked!
My photos show Petals in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I will call this one a 2-3 coater depending on personal preference and application style. Removal won’t be overly difficult but it will be messy.
Songbird
Description: a vivid cobalt blue jelly sprinkled with holographic flakes
Songbird I cannot stress how much I love the shade of blue that is cobalt blue. Just looking at it is just shot of endorphins straight to my brain.
Part of me was a little disappointed that this polish didn’t feature shimmer but my love for holographic and cobaly blue won out and I’m glad that this is “just” a blue jelly with holographic.
The holographic in here is super sparkly. I brought this one outside for my live swatch video and even though it was overcast, you can still see the holographic sparkle well. Since the brand used holographic flakies, you get the look of glitter without the texture. I still wouldn’t recommend scrubbing this polish off though.
My photos show Songbird in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I think with thicker coats you might be able to get even coverage and decent opacity with two coats. However, with thin coats, this just wasn’t quite even enough to call it in two.
Willow
Description: a lively lime green with matching lime green shimmer
Willow In case you missed it, I am still in the middle of my “I love green nail polish!!” kick so I was loving how this polish looked. Plus this is a lime green that is the color of an actual lime.
Once again, this had a great formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I had zero application issues. The shimmer to my eye is somewhere between a yellow and a green, so I will just call it a chartreuse.
My only complaint about this color is that I had hoped based on the bottle that it would be a prugly green. It’s a little bit too pretty to be a prugly in my opinion.
My photos show Willow in 3 coats plus glossy and matte top coats. If you got in for slightly thicker coats, I think you can get decent opacity in 2 coats. Super easy removal, I didn’t personally experience any staining but usually colors like this stain my natural nails whenever I wear them for fun.
Final Thoughts
If you’re like me and spend a lot of time on nail polish centric social media pages, you probably have also seen a million people hype up Fairy Dust. I gave in to the peer pressure and bought a bottle of it a few weeks ago. And yeah, it’s 10000% worth the hype. So when I saw that ILNP was releasing more polishes that are similar to Fairy Dust, I was really excited. These for sure live up to the hype that Fairy Dust gives.
I really liked that this feels like a cohesive color story as well as each finish being a little bit different from the others. It wasn’t lost on me that we kinda have a rainbow going on.
I usually try not to pick too many from collections as top picks but Bluebell, Flower Child, Willow and Songbird are going to be my top picks. If I was purchasing this release those would likely be the ones I would pick out.
Let me know what you think of these!
