Hi friends! Today I am sharing some new polishes from the brand ILNP. These are part of the Studio Color line which are polishes that are (for now) cremes and jellies.
In case you couldn’t tell, the Stars and Stripes collection is inspired by all things 4th of July. This collection is available right now on the brand’s website, Amazon, and Etsy page.

ILNP is a US based boutique brand. Their polishes are in 12ml bottles, 7 free, cruelty free and vegan.
Cherry
Description: a juicy cherry red creme
Cherry has a slight jelly-like finish so it is a bit more sheer than the other colors in this collection. I found the formulation and application to be fantastic.
I used 3 coats for my photos but there honestly wasn’t a huge difference between 2 and 3 coats. I still had vnl but slightly less with the third coat.
Canvas
Description: an opaque white creme
Canvas ILNP wasn’t kidding when they said this polish is opaque. Depending on your application, this can be a one coater. It is however very thick and will require some technique to make it be opaque without any dark spots. It self levels but just a little bit slowly.
The best way to apply this would be to work in normal to thicker coats. Too thin of a coat will make this apply very streaky. If you don’t already have an opaque white creme, this would be a good one.

Tribute
Description: a classic deep blue
Tribute I LOVE this shade of blue. It’s not a navy blue but it’s not at bright cobalt blue either.
The formula on this was right in the middle of Cherry (jelly leaning) and Canvas (thick opaque creme). It wasn’t quote opaque on the first coat but I reached full opacity with the second.
My swatches show Tribute in two coats plus glossy top coat.
Final Thoughts
First off, I am kinda shocked that despite having this blog for 4 years now I don’t recall ever swatching a 4th of July inspired collection. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think I am.
Even though these are all pretty basic colors, I do think they’re all fantastic. I’m honestly surprised ILNP didn’t already have a white creme in their lineup but if memory serves correctly, they only just released their first cremes last year?
Because these polishes are in the Studio Color line, they all come with a rounded paddle style brush.
Obviously, my stand out is going to be the Tribute. I will always pick the blue creme when given a choice.
