Hi friends! Today I am sharing the newest Fandom Flakies box. For May 2024 the brands were inspired by the movie Practical Magic. I goofed on getting my footage together for this month’s box so I recorded some short form videos for this release.

Fandom Flakies is a monthly indie collaboration between Bee’s Knees Lacquer, Night Owl Lacquer and Ribbits Stickits.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer – There’s A Little Witch In All Of Us
Description: a purple pastel multichrome that shifts to gold and green, with matte black flakes, seafoam flakes, and holo flakes
There’s A Little Witch In All Of Us had a fantastic formula. I didn’t experience any issues with the formula or the application.
This builds up really nicely. Depending on your personal preference this will be a 2-3 coater. You get a bit more opacity with the third coat but coverage is even in two. I did find that had some VNL with this polish but it’s nost as noticeable with three coats.
The flakies give this nail polish a tiny bit of texture so you will want a top coat for a smooth finish. I found the multichrome flakies do need to be worked a little bit more than the others to spread out evenly.
My photos show There’s A Little Witch In All Of Us in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Removal won’t be overly difficult and I didn’t have any issues with staining.

Night Owl LacquerĀ Normal is Not Necessarily a Virtue
Description: a violet tinted base filled with rusty micro flakies and different sized particle shimmers that shift green/blue/fuschia
Normal is Not Necessarily A Virtue is in a sheer jelly base so you do need to build it up to get some coverage going. I did however have VNL with this one after 3 coats.
Both the formula and application were fantastic. The rusty micro flakies give this polish an almost berry/raisin coloring. The shimmer is strong and larger in particle size so you get some sparkle action without any texture.
I found the shimmer does seem to want to do that thing in brighter lighting where it’s a little bit washed out. My fourth photo shows the color of the shimmer a little bit more accurately.
My photos show Normal is Not Necessarily a Virtue in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Removal will be very easy with this one but a bit messy due to the shimmer.

I wore the new Bee’s Knees Lacquer VNL blurring base coat called Phantom (previous PR) on my middle and ring fingers with glitter placement featuring Cirque Colors Hex Girl (gifted product). My pointer finger is China Glaze Purpletonium and Cirque Colors Hex Girl. My pinky is China Glaze Bump In The Night which is a black texture.
Scent Description: Midnight Margaritas scent description: pineapple and vanilla margarita
The scent for this month’s box is a fruity scent lovers DREAM. I am in LOVE. This smells like a pineappley, fruit mixed drink!
