Fandom Flakies is a monthly indie collaboration between Bee’s Knees Lacquer, Night Owl Lacquer and Ribbits Stickits.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer That’s for Everything Else

Description: inspired by Astrid, this is a pale steel blue with subtle blue shimmer and blue to red multichrome microflakes

I love the base color in combination with the micro flakies. Don’t quote me on this but I don’t recall ever seeing blue to red multichrome flakies before? I found on the nail these largely look blue to purple to me. I wasn’t see a ton of red.

Night Owl Lacquer Feral Vigilante Dragon Lady

Description: a black base filled with glowy fuchsia/pink/gold/green shifting shimmer and turquoise metallic micro flakies

While I was doing my swatches for Feral Vigilante Dragon Lady, I kept feeling like this should have been a magnetic. It’s not but it looks to me like an unmagnetized polish.

Ribbits Stickits We Can Do This. You and Me. As One

Description: a black flakie and holo flakie base with a mix of aurora shimmers to match the eye color of Toothless!

I opted to swatch We Can Do This. You and Me. As One in 3 coats. This one is sheer enough in 1 coat that you can for sure use it as a topper. I found in 3 coats I had some gaps between the flakies where I could see my nail so there is some VNL with this one even when built up.

The black flakies make this look strangely textured without top coat but the flakies for the most part all dry down flat.

Ribbits Stickies

For this nail art I used Holo Taco’s pink smoothing base coat as my base. On my pointer and pinky fingers I used OPI Turquoise Shatter (discontinued but you should be able to find bottles on ebay pretty easily). On my middle and ring fingers I used Cirque Colors Spotted & Delirium (discontinued). These water slide decals are such an easy way to do nail art!

Perfume Oil

Isle of Berk scent description: cardamom, oranges and yuzu, jasmine, rosewood, fresh dew combined with sea salt, red cedar, green grass, rainbow water and thyme, finish with amber, light cashmere musk, and dark oud.

This month’s scent is very earthy with a dash of fruity from the oranges.

Final Thoughts

I feel like this has been happening a lot recently where I have little to no idea on the theme of a Fandom Flakies box. I only have a vague recollection of watching these movies. I did think the items this month were lovely though.

As per usually, I don’t like picking favorites from the Fandom Flakies box since you can’t buy the main polishes individually. However, my favorite item this month was the Ribbits Stickits polish so I am going to cheat and use that as my top pick since you can buy it by itself.
