Told ya I had another blog post for you guys today. Earlier I posted Zoya’s summer 2023 collection, Beachy Brights. This blog post is for what I gather is a new series (?) from Zoya called Color Of The Month. I am assuming we can expect one new polish a month from Zoya.
As far as I can tell, this polish isn’t a limited edition release or exclusive to the month of June but I am honestly not 100% sure. The formulation of this is in the same new “patent pending handcrafted” formula as the Beachy Brights polishes.
Marisol is currently available now on the Zoya website. I am not sure if Zoya stockists like Beyond Polish will also have it or not.
As always, I will have more links and sale details at the end of the blog post.

Zoya is a US based mainstream brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 10 free, vegan and cruelty free.
Marisol
Description: A bold and audacious turquoise cream
Marisol had a similar formulation to some of the colors in the Beachy Brights collection. So slightly on the thicker side, kinda slow at slow self leveling, and gets sheerer as it dries down with a flat/matte.
I love this shade of blue. I wouldn’t really call it turquoise personally, it seems like a bright summery sky blue to me. When I think turquoise, I think ‘there’s some teal or green happening in here’. Next to a true blue, the green/turquoise coloring will be more apparent.
Coverage was pretty good in 2 coats but since this dries down sheerer if your application isn’t 1000% perfect, you will have some dark spots with it. If you’re really good at the 3 stroke method of applying polish, I would suggest doing that for this one.
I’m not sure if it was how I applied my top coat or if it’s the “gets sheerer the longer it dries” thing this polish has but I noticed while I was taking my photos, that I started seeing dark spots that weren’t initially there when I was top coating.
I don’t *think* my top coat brush picked up the polish from my nail but I really don’t know what was going on with that. I did experience similar to this when I was swatching the polishes from the summer collection sooo yeah.
My photos show Marisol in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. This polish dries down pretty flat so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
Not gonna lie, I thought this was going to be A LOT more similar to Zoya’s Pluto from the Beachy Brights collection. Remember what I said about how unless this is next to a true blue you won’t see the turquoise?

I thought it was going to be a lot more similar to the blue from that collection than it ended up being!
