When a nail polish exceeds your expectations
Purchased by me, post disclosure page
I have been blogging for 5 years now and there are times when even I do not believe photos on a polish and convince myself that there is no way that it would really look that good in person. I am usually wrong and the polish really is just as (if not more so) beautiful in person than it was in the photos.
With that in mind, I present you Femme Fatale’s Blue Grotto originally released in the February 2025 Hella Handmade Creations.
Femme Fatale – Blue Grotto
You’ll notice quite a bit of tip wear on this mani and that’s because I had this on for almost a week before I got around to taking photos. I still haven’t gotten in the habit of taking pictures of my “I wore this for fun” manicures the same day I put them on (or at all..) so forgive me for that.
This polish is SO sparkly and has a blue, purple to magenta color shift. I wore it in 3 coats but I could have stopped in 2 for a bit more VNL heavy look.
I blame this polish for me re-falling in love with Femme Fatale. I haven’t purchased any polishes from this brand in AGES and since getting this one in the mail I have added 14 more Femme Fatales to my nail polish collection. Oops?
I’m sure someone is going to ask what was on my accent nail. The answer to that question is Garden Path Lacquer A Boy For Pele which I also purchased from the February HHC shop. My love for Blue Grotto overshadowed A Boy For Pele unfortunately. ABFP was beautiful but Blue Grotto was STUNNING.
Side note, my February order was actually the largest order I have ever placed from HHC. Usually I try to stick to 4 polishes or less from collab boxes.

I’m currently wearing Holo Taco’s Hot-Wire Pink, and I am shocked by how much I love it. So much fun to see your HHC order!
