Hey friends! Today I have swatches for the July Talk Indie To Me box. This month’s box has a beautiful color story. Basically, my main favorite nail polish colors are all represented this month! The July TITM launches later this month.
As always, sale information and comparisons will be at the end of the post.
The Talk Indie To Me box is a bimonthly creme collaboration between Zombie Claw Polish and Lacquer Is In The Air.

Lacquer Is In The Air – Callistemon
Description: a bright pink creme
Callistemon had a great formula. It was slightly on the thicker side but around what I expect from an opaque creme polish. This self leveled really nicely and it applied really well.
This will be opaque in 2-3 coats depending on application. Shorter nails should be in 2 coats but longer nails might need 3 coats. I had some nails that were good in 2 but I used 3 coats for my photos.
This dries slightly dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish. No issues with staining.
Lacquer Is In The Air – Secret Shadows
Description: a dark teal creme
Secret Shadows had an amazing formula. It was very opaque on the first coat. This was also *slightly* on the thicker side but didn’t feel overly thicK and I didn’t have any application issues. Like the previous polish, this self leveled perfectly and applied buttery smooth.
This will be a 1 coater on pretty much everyone. I used 2 coats for my photos.
Definitely be sure wear base coat with this polish. It’s very pigmented. I didn’t experience any staining.

Zombie Claw Polish – Catastrophic Butterfly
Description: a violet purple creme
Catastrophic Butterfly had have a great formula. In comparison to the previous two polishes it was definitely more sheer and crelly like. It also self leveled nicely though.
It applies very smoothly but I will note that this one does not like to be applied thickly. It had a tendency to run to my sidewalls when I tried going in for thick coats.
I think this might be a solid 3 coater. It wasn’t quite as dark in 2 coats as it was in the bottle so I used 3 coats for my photos.
Zombie Claw Polish – Dreamscape
Description: a clear blue ocean turquoise creme
Dreamscape had a really great crelly like formula. In comparison to the first 2 polishes, this one had a more sheer formula. It applied really nicely and I didn’t have any application issues.
In 2 coats this was still fairly sheer so I used 3 coats for my photos. Shorter nails might be passable in 2 thicker coats or with a VNL blurring base coat. The third coat does deepen the color.
Note: my polish had some unmixed pigment. I let Sabrina know so it shouldn’t be an issue for customer bottles.

Comparisons
I was kind of struck at how similar Secret Shadows was to Olive Ave Polish’s Borealis (reviewed here) . Side by side, there is a very slight difference color wise. My OA swatch leaned very cool toned but side by side these are very similar color and tone wise. The TITM polish is pretty much a solid 1 coater whereas the OA polish is a 2 coater.
Since there was a vibrant pink in the May TITM box as well, I decided to do a comparison of the two. They aren’t dupes and side by side, aren’t really comparable other than both being pink. This month’s pink is much warmer in color.
But Do They Stamp?
Yes, they do BUT I would only really recommend Secret Shadows as a stamping polish. Callistemon was ok but not the best and the other 2 polishes were too sheer to really work for this type of nail art. That of course doesn’t mean that these can’t be used for other types of nail art!
I used the UberChic Beauty stamping plate Just For Claws 1-02 for the image. And I used my go to clear stamper from Twinkled T to pick the images up. Feel free to use my code NicoleLovesNails10 to save 10% on Twinkled T orders.
