Hey everyone! I am so sorry this blog post is a wee bit late. I caught a cold last week and have been pretty much useless for the past couple of days. Good news is that I am feeling a lot better today. The bad news is I am playing catchup like no one’s business.
ANYWAY, today’s blog post is for some releases from a new to the blog brand, Supernatural Lacquer. I love this brand so I am super pumped to share these polishes with you guys. Sadly these polishes are limited edition and will only be available until the 15th of November. As always, sale details can be found at the end of the post.
Supernatural Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are handmade, 5 free, cruelty free and vegan.

Atomic Winter
Group: Fantasmic Flakies
Description: A violet purple crelly base with multiple pink, blue, orange and purple color-shift flakes
Price: $12 for 15ml
Atomic Winter had a really great formula. This polish has a TON of flakies in it but it didn’t feel thick at all. The base color falls into the blurple/indigo/purple category. I can’t decide which of those colors this most resembles.
It has really good coverage in 2 coats but it wasn’t quite the color that I was seeing in the bottle. My photos show it in 3 coats. This polish dries dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish. I think this polish could potentially be one of those types of flakie polishes that would benefit from pairing it with a glitter eating top coat. I didn’t use one for my swatches but that is something to note. Removal won’t be overly difficult.
I do want to note to make sure to double up on base coat with this polish if your nails are prone to staining, especially if you have an overlay. This polish stained my overlay purple. My natural nails weren’t affected and the staining went away after a few days worth of swatching.
Mermaid Tears
Group: Holo Maniacs
Description: A light blue crelly base with orange/gold/green shimmer and holo micro flake
Price: $12 for 15ml
Mermaid Tears had a fantastic formula. The base color is a light steel blue shade. I was seeing a pink to gold to green color shift in person. All of the components spread out evenly. This polish is extremely holographic in person!
This polish is going to be a 2-3 coater depending on your application. I had 2 nails that were good in 2 coats and the other nails that needed a third. My photos show it in 3 coats.
You will want top coat for a glossy finish as this does dry dull. Nothing in here dried textured nor will it be overly difficult to remove, but it will likely be messy if you scrub this off.
