Hey friends! Today’s blog post is for the newest Polished Gamers Box. PGB recently made the change to doing boxes bi-monthly and for June, the theme is Dungeons & Dragons. This month I have just 1 brand to share and that is Night Owl Lacquer. The polish they have is GORGEOUS.

Night Owl Lacquer – 20 Sides to Every Story

20 Sides to Every Story had a fantastic formula. The base didn’t feel thick at all despite having *a lot* of glitter and flakies. I found both components spread out very easily with the reflective glitter giving the polish some texture.
Since this polish is a clear base, all of the opacity will come from the glitter and flakies so you will want to either build it up for opacity or use it as a topper. I found I really liked it in 3 coats on its own but it also looked great as a topper.
My photos show 20 Sides to Every Story in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. I did end up pairing this one with a glitter smoothing top coat (KBShimmer Smooth Moves) before going in with my quick dry top coat. That got it perfectly smooth. I also swatched this in 1 coat over Night Owl Lacquer’s Mischief (Reviewed Here) which is a dark teal creme polish.
Removal for 20 Sides to Every Story will be on the more difficult side if you try to scrub it off. I used a peel off base coat (Holo Taco Peely Base) and had no issues. Soaking this off will also make removal easier.
