[Paid PR – Post Disclosure Page]
Hello friends! Today I am sharing the Summer 2021 collection from Olive Ave Polish! I loved the Spring collection (reviewed here) so much so I was super excited when Walker reached out to try her summer collection! This post is going to be a bit repetitive because these all had great formulas with buttery smooth application!
The Cool Treats 2021 collection is available right now on the Olive Ave Polish website. As always, I will have that linked down below along with all of the sale details.
Olive Ave Polish is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are 10 free, vegan and cruelty free.

Creamsicle
Description: a bright creamsicle orange cream
Creamsicle had a great formula. It was a little bit on the thinner side but it applied evenly and easily. It also self leveled really well. I did notice that he did want to run down the stem of the brush a little bit but nothing too terrible. This is the perfect Creamsicle orange shade, it’s a creamy orange shade.
This is going to be opaque in 2 to 3 coats depending on preference and nail length. I had pretty good coverage in two coats but I had a few light spots. So I used 3 coats for my photos.
Pixy
Description: a fiery coral pink shimmer
Pixy also had great formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues.
The shimmer is obvious but not super in your face but it is obvious on the nail. This one is going to be a 2-3 coater depending on your nail length. I used 3 coats for my photos.
Roo
Description: an olympic blue cream
Roo had a fantastic formula. It applied buttery smooth and self leveled perfectly. This is a darker medium toned blue in person.
Roo was the most opaque out of the collection. It was opaque on me in one coat! But I still used 2 coats for my photos.
Note: This is very pigmented so be sure to wear a base coat to prevent staining. I didn’t experience any staining.
Strawberry
Description: a rich coral pink cream
Strawberry also had a buttery smooth formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. Color wise, I feel like this is a reddish pink with coral undertones. Depending on your lighting, it can lean in either a red, pink, or coral direction.
This will be opaque in 2-3 coats. I had two nails that were good in 2 coats. I ended up doing 3 coats for all nails just for consistency.
Tang
Description: a bright marigold orange-yellow cream
Tang had a fantastic formula. It self leveled wonderfully and I didn’t have any application issues.
The description for this polish is very accurate. In person it is super bright and the perfect Tang color.
I used 3 coats for my photos. This will be a 2-3 coater depending on application and nail length.
Teddy
Description: a deep royal blue cream
Teddy had a buttery smooth formula. It was thinner than I had expected (I just finished a flakie swatch-o-thon so everything was on the thicker side) so I did flood my cuticle area but once I got used to the formula, I didn’t have any application issues. It didn’t feel watery thin.
Color wise, this makes me think of a summer navy blue shade. It’s not quite dark enough to scream fall.
This had great coverage in 2 coats. I think on shorter nails, this will be opaque in 2. I had some transparency on my tips that I thought would show in photos so I used 3 coats. For normal wear, I would wear this in 2 coats.
Final Thoughts
In case it wasn’t obvious, I thought this collection was fantastic! Prior to seeing the polishes, Walker sent the description for them and I was very excited about the color story she chose.
I had a hard time deciding which polishes were my favorite. These are all colors that I find myself drawn to. I think I will go with Pixy, Tangy and Roo as my personal favorites but these were all fantastic.
