Hello friends! I have a really fun post for you all today. I meant to get this up sooner but I was honestly just in a funk so I am running kinda late. Anyway, I have 6 gorgeous polishes by Night Owl Lacquer to share.
All of these polishes are available right now on the NOL website. As always, links and sale details can be found at the end of the post.

Harvest
Description: a rusty red creme
Price: $8
Harvest had a fantastic formula. It was slightly on the thicker side of normal but around what I usually come to expect from an opaque indie cream. This applied buttery smooth and self leveled like a dream!
I feel like the base color is a true Fall red. It doesn’t feel like a Christmas or a Summer red this is definitely a sweet spot for a fall shade. This was fully opaque on me in one coat. My photos do show it in two coats. I don’t think most people will actually need two coats for full opacity.
My photos show Harvest in 2 coats. It also stamps perfectly! Also, I want to note that this photographed very orangey on me, as reds often do. My daylight shots are the most color accurate in my opinion.
Mischief
Description: a blackened teal creme
Price: $8
Mischief had an amazing formula. Like the previous creme, it was on the thicker side. However, it was the level of thickness I expect from an opaque indie creme. It self-leveled perfectly and applied very smoothly.
This is a very dark teal shade. I found it wasn’t so dark that it appears black in low lighting but it’s close.
Mischief was opaque on me in 1 coat. My photos do show it in two coats. This dries down slightly dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish. I found that because this is such a dark color, there wasn’t much of a point in stamping it over black.
Fall Is A-maize-ing
Description: a warm mustard yellow loaded with gold micro holographic glitters
Price: $11
Fall Is A-maize-ing had a beautiful formula. The base color is a light mustard color. The glitters are all pretty small so they do not dry overly textured and they are also very holographic!
This will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on preference. I found the third coat does deepen the base color but this was opaque in 2 coats. I didn’t find that it dried textured however I did still use a glitter eating top coat with it. I’m not 100% sure if that was necessary but I decided to err on the side of caution.
Removal on this will be difficult/messy due to the glitter so I would recommend pairing it with a peel off base coat or soaking it off. Click here for my easy glitter removal tutorial.
Feelin’ Gourd
Description: a light grey glowing with bronze/copper/gold/green aurora shimmer
Price: $13
Feelin’ Gourd had a fantastic formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. The base color for this polish is a very light grey. Not so light that it appears to be white but it’s close to a “dirty” off-white. I found the shimmer was exactly as described.
This will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on your own personal preference. I found in 2 coats I had a tiny hint of VNL. The third coat did make this 100% opaque. Feeling Gourd dries slightly dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
I Think Olive You
Description: an olive green linear holographic with bronze/gold/green multichrome shimmer
Price: $13
I Think Olive You had a wonderful formula. The base is exactly as described and very holographic! I found the shimmer in this was slightly overshadowed by the holographic element. I was definitely seeing it in person, it gave the polish a nice golden glow. In lighting conditions where the holographic isn’t so visible, you will be able to see the shimmer much easier.
This will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on your nail length. I used 2 coats for my photos. Longer nails might want to use 3 coats. Nothing in here will dry textured but it does dry dull.
Sunsets With Sasquatch
Description: a dark brown base filled with red/copper/gold shifting shimmer
Price: $13
Sunsets With Sasquatch had a fantastic formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or think and I didn’t have any application issues. I found this is going to be one of those shimmers where the shimmer effect is so strong that it almost obscures the base color. The shimmer showed slight brush strokes, you will have to search for them but they are there if you do.
In person, the colors I was seeing were as described as well as green at extreme angles. This will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on preference. I found a third coat slightly deepened the base color and added some opacity. I used 3 coats coats my photos.

Final Thoughts
I thought this release had a beautiful color story. I liked that it had a variety of finishes that all looked seasonally appropriate. This brand really impresses me with their formulas, in particular their creme formulas!
My top picks from this release are going to be Mischief, Sunsets With Sasquatch, and Feelin’ Gourd.

Comparisons
I thought people might like a comparison of Feeling Gourd to Breath Of A Banshee from last month’s release. BOAB has a similar base but the shimmer effect has different colors.
