Hey friends! I have some new releases to share with you all from Night Owl Lacquer. I shared these on my weekend live stream yesterday so if you would like to check out live swatches and some shenanigans, I’ll have the link for the stream listed below.
So for November, we have the Bob’s Burgers inspired Twinkly Lights duo, 2 LE polishes plus a new creme of the quarter. As always, links and sale details can be found at the end of the post.

All Different Colors & All Different Types
Description: a clear base filled with silver reflective glitter pigment, gold holographic micro glitter and a rainbow of multichrome flakes
Price: $13 or $22 as a duo
All Different Colors & All Different Types had a good but thicker formula. This polish is just jam packed with so much glitter and flakies so the thickness was not at all surprising. I found it easy to work with.
Since this polish is in a clear base, it can also be used as a topper. Personally, I LOVE the polishes by NOL that feature this clear base + reflective glitter + flakie combos in 2 coats on their own. I think this one might be my favorite that Lindsay has released in this style.
As per usual, the reflective glitter gives this polish quite a bit of texture so 1 coat of a glitter smoothing top coat (KBSHimmer Smooth Moves) before my quick dry top coat (Night Owl Lacquer’s Patience Not Required) smoothed it out really nicely for me.
My photos show All Different Colors & All Different Types in 2 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. This polish dries down pretty dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
We’re All Lights
Description: a clear base filled with silver holographic micro flakies and a rainbow of holographic shred
Price: $10 or $22 as a duo
We’re All Lights had a fantastic but thicker formula. This is a densely packed flakie polish so while you could potentially use it as a topper, I think it looks best at full coverage.
This polish was very holographic. I found indoors, the silver micro flakes mainly looked silver but under bright lights and in natural light, the holographic really came out to play.
I have a hard time disliking anything that involves rainbows so yeah, this was gorgeous.
My photos show We’re All Lights in 2 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. I erred on the side of caution and swatched this polish with a glitter smoothing top coat but I don’t think it will be 100% necessary. Removal won’t be overly difficult but it will be messy.
Wintermint
Description: an icy blue crelly filled with turquoise, silver & evergreen holographic glitters in various sizes and holographic micro flakies
Price: $7
Wintermint had a fantastic but thicker formula. I found application pretty easy despite the thickness. This polish was a bit more opaque than most glitter crellies that I use so I only needed 2 coats for full opacity.
I wasn’t too sure how much I was going to like this polish but once I got it on, I loved it. The base color is a *very* pale blue but not so pale that it looks white.
The glitters all spread out evenly and easily but they do give off some texture. They were incredibly sparkly even in my cave-like nail room. I don’t think a glitter smoothing top coat will be 100% necessary with this polish but it did seem to help smooth everything out.
My photos show Wintermint in 2 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. The glitters will likely give you some trouble on removal, I used a peel off base coat.
Warm Hugs
Description: a thermal that shifts from turquoise to pale grey and is loaded with gold/copper/green crystal chameleon flakes & holographic dust
Price: $9
Warm Hugs had a fantastic formula. The base was a little bit on the thicker side but what I would expect from a flakie thermal. This polish has a ton of flakies in it. I did get out one larger flakie on my pointer finger but I didn’t get out any others. There seem to be some floating around the bottle though.
The thermal aspect started changing on me right away. The cold state was a bright turquoise and the warm state was a pale off white shade. As far as opacity goes, I found there was minimal difference between 2 and 3 coats.
I love love love the cold state of this polish. The warm state is also nice but I just love this shade of turquoise.
My photos show Warm Hugs in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I do think this one is likely going to be a solid 2 coater as I mentioned, there didn’t seem to be a difference with that third coat.
Winter’s Night
Description: a smokey navy blue creme
Price: $8
Winter’s Night had a fantastic formula. Like most NOL cremes, it was on the thicker side but thick in the “wow that’s opaque” way and not difficult to use. It self leveled perfectly.
I found the base color on this one is accurate, but I did notice that it can leans a little teal depending on your lighting. Specifically, in natural lighting it looked a little teal to me. Which isn’t surprising since you know, the sun is yellow after all.
My photo show Winter’s Night and two coats plus glossy topcoat. This part also dries down fairly glossy on its own.
Final Thoughts
Once again I am sure it was no shock that I enjoyed this month’s releases. I thought all of the colors were cohesive and would make a nice mani together.
All Different Colors & All Different Types definitely is my favorite from all of the polishes. I really can’t get enough of the flakie + LRG combos this brand does.
