So I have been sitting on this blog post for a really long time. The polishes featured were released last year? Earlier this year? It’s been quite a while so I honestly can’t remember but everything is still available as far as I know.

This is another post that is being cleared out of my drafts folder. The review portions under each polish are my original notes for each polish so there are plenty of typos. I apologize but I just wanted to clear out my drafts folder!

A Little Cooler 

Description: a magnetic holographic nail polish topper that brings sparkle to any manicure.  A Little Cooler is best used in one coat over darker colors for maximum sparkle.

A Little Cooler had a really gorgeous formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. The holographic pigment in here is very hologrpahic. I found in normal lighting, it wasn’t the most holographic but it did throw some beautiful rainbows.

The magnetic effect is pretty strong, I feel like I was off my game with these so the magnetic effect between all of my nails looks pretty different. I found the effect itself dissipates so I wasn’t getting a strong line. But again, I really feel like I was off my game when I swatching this one.

I really wish it wasn’t raining when I swatched this one so you all could see the rainbows better. I tweaked my lighting a bit in the second and third photos so that the holographic effect really came out. Unmagnetized, this will basically just look like a silver linear holographic.

Nothing in here will dry textured or be difficult to remove.

Update: I really hated how my original swatch turned out so I redid this one. I used the ring magnet on all of my fingers except for the middle nail. I tried using the s magnet and didn’t really like how that turned out at all.

After Midnight

Description: A deep, near black charcoal color, After Midnight twinkles as light catches the facets of its reflective pigment for a velvet-like look.  Worn without topcoat, a near matte finish offers a smooth and subtle texture that feels like fabric.  When a flash of light catches your nails, the silver pigment shines through brighter than a billion stars. 

After Midnight had a fantastic formula. It felt slightly on the thicker side but applied very evenly and easily. It applies fairly textured but not quite as gritty as a traditional textured polish (think Zoya Pixidusts) or even most glitter bombs. It really does look very velvet-like.

I found the reflective properties in this are very reflective. They stand out the most under a direct light, like a phone’s flashlight but in normal lighting, this still has some reflectiveness to it.

My photos show After Midnight in 2 coats both with and without top coat.

The glitters in After Midnight are VERY top coat hungry. They will suck up your first coat of top coat. I would suggest pairing it with a glitter smoothing top coat (I like the Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber). Removal will be on the more difficult side as well as very messy if you try to scrub this polish off. I would highly recommend using a peel off base coat or soaking this polish.

All That Glimmers

Description: a soft, rose gold nail polish loaded with micro reflective pigment.  This warm pink hue offers a near matte finish with a subtle texture when worn without topcoat. When a flash of light hits your nails, the silver pigment reflects an unbelievable glimmering twinkle

All That Glimmers had a wonderful formula. Application and formula wise, it was identical to After Midnight. So on the thicker side but applies very easily and evenly with some texture. I found it to also be very reflective.

You can see in my outdoor shot, the reflective aspects coming out from just standing outside on my front porch without flash. The glitters in this polish and all of the reflective ones are just stunning.

My photos show All That Glimmers in 2 coats both with and without top coat. Removal on this will be messy and potentially difficult if you try to scrub this off.

Fizz The Season

Description: a champagne-inspired holographic nail polish.  A light, pearl-colored base is accented by strong flashes of gold and copper shimmer.  In the light, the holographic pigment pops, bringing that classic linear rainbow look to this festive polish, while in the shade, tones of gray and champagne stand out. 

Fizz The Season had a wonderful formula. The shimmer effect and the holographic in here are both VERY strong. The shimmer doesn’t show any brush strokes and the holographic doesn’t dry textured.

This was very opaque! I expect most people will be good in 2 coats. If you have very long nails, you might want to go in for a third coat. I used 2 coats for my photos. This polish dries a little flat so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.

In Good Spirits

Description: An iridescent shade with magical color-shifting possibilities, this polish can be worn on its own or layered over other colors. Layering over a white or neutral base like The Snuggle Is Real will bring out shades of green, gold, lime, and pink. Want a bolder look? A dark or black base will show off bold shades of emerald, fuchsia, purple and sometimes aqua. 

In Good Spirits had a fantastic formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. The amount of color shift in this polish is quite frankly insane! I was seeing all of the described colors in person with zero brush strokes.

Since this polish is fairly sheer, you could also wear it as a topper over a variety of base colors. Personally, I prefer it on its own in 3 coats. Which is how my photos show it.

Public Displays Of Confection

Description: Rusty red in color, this shifty polish quickly shows off golden bronze hues that morph into warm peach.  Scattered holo flakes shine in the sun, while gold, lime, and chartreuse green colors show off in the shade at different viewing angles. 

Public Displays Of Confection had a fantastic formula. It did not feel overly thick or thin and I had zero application issues. The base for this polish is a gorgeous rusty red shade that pairs perfectly with the shimmer. I found in person, I was seeing all of the described colors along with a hint of blue at extreme angles.

I think this one will be a 2-3 coater depending on your own personal preferences. If you have much of a free edge and don’t like VNL, you will likely want to go in for 3 coats. My photos show Public Displays Of Confections in 3 coats.

Shake Things Up

Description: A light, near steel pewter gray, this shifty shade is loaded with shimmer showing of a rainbow of hues.  In the light, a bright green and warm gold pop, while glowing holo flakes add a touch of shine.  In lower lighting and shade, a soft bronze shifts into yellow and green, while the edges play with hints of blue that deepen into a darker gray.

Shake Things Up also had a gorgeous formula. I found the shimmer effect will make this polish look like a very light minty shade but I could see the light grey base very easily. I was seeing all of the described colors in the shimmer and the holographic was very strong.

This polish will be a 2-3 coater depending on your personal preference. I used 3 coats for my photos. Nothing in here will dry textured or be difficult to remove.

Take a Bough

Description: a vibrant jade green nail polish.  The bold green hue is accented by a gold-lime-green color-shifting shimmer that envelopes glowing holo flakes.  In the shade, hints of darker green and teal can be seen at some angles, while a shy pop of bronze warms the green

Take a Bough had a fantastic formula. I had zero application issues and no problems with staining. I found this polish is a gorgeous jewel toned green shade with a very strong shimmer effect. It *almost* looks metallic on the nail.

The holo flakies are very holographic and do not give off any texture. This polish was pretty opaque so I used 2 coats for my photos. Nothing in here will be difficult to remove.

Tapped Out

Description: A dark-wash denim colored polish with a glowy pink shimmer that can sometimes show off hints of green or gold.  This shade twinkles as light catches the facets of its silver reflect pigment.  Worn without topcoat, a near matte finish offers a smooth and subtle texture that feels like new denim.  When a flash of light catches your nails, the silver pigment shines through brighter than a billion stars.  

Tapped Out had a wonderful formula. It was slightly on the thicker side of normal but I didn’t have any issues with application. It applied and behaved exactly the same as the previous 2 reflective polishes. The shimmer effect in this polish was very color shifty. I was seeing a pink to gold to green color shift in person.

Like the previous reflective polishes, this one will dry down a little textured. Not quite as textured as a traditional textured polish but enough that you will want to pair this with a glitter smoothing top coat for a smoothest finish possible.

I used 2 coats for my photos. Again, for the easiest removal process, I would recommend soaking this off or pairing it with a peel off base coat.

What’s Popping

Description: a bright magenta pink nail polish loaded with glowy holo flakes.  A color-shifting shimmer accents this bold shade with a vibrant green hue that flips into aqua and purple.  In lower lighting, golds and purples steal the show. 8lop;

Worth A Shot

Description: a cool, grape-purple-leaning polish loaded with multichrome shimmer.  Like a full color photo, this polish shows nearly a full spectrum of color, with rusty orange reds morphing into gold, lime and blue in lower lighting. In bright light, hues of peach, green, and aqua pop against the purple base. 

Wrap It Up

Description: A deep indigo base sets off a flurry of glowy holo flakes. A rustic red-orange shimmer quickly shows off shades of gold. In some angles and lighting, flickers of pink come out to play, while the base shows off more navy or purple tones.
