Hi friends! Today I am sharing the Bee’s Knees Lacquer polish coming to this month’s Hella Handmade Creations. BKL is starting a new theme inspired by Fallout.

Hella Handmade Creations is a monthly indie polish collaboration. Makers each pick their own theme and make a series of polishes based on that theme. Each month brands have a new polish, that is exclusive to the Hella Handmade Creations website.

The Wasteland

Inspiration: Fallout (new series!)
Description: a grungy brown with strong pink to gold shimmer
Price: $14 for 15ml | Cap: none

The Wasteland this is one of those of sheer but super shimmery polishes that the brand has become known for. As this is a pretty sheer polish, I chose to build this one up in three coats.

However, even when built up you won’t be able to reach full opacity without the use of an opaque base. I think this would be a fantastic topper since the brown base is so very sheer that it won’t alter what color polish you wear underneath of it too badly.

The shimmer in here is gorgeous and so strong. To my eye, the shimmer mainly looked more of a orange to a bronze rather than a pink to a gold.

My photos show The Wasteland in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Removal will of course be very easy and I didn’t personally experience any staining upon removal.
