Hella Handmade Creations August 2020

[Press Sample] Hi everyone! Today I have swatches of a Heather’s Hues polish that will be coming to Hella Handmade Creations (HHC) shop Friday August 14th at 12:01AM Eastern time. I have all of the info about that sale at the end of this post. Heather’s Hues is contining with polishes inspired by the tv show, The Office. I have never actually seen this tv show but I have been really enjoying the polishes from this theme!

Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica is described as a tan crelly filled with a red-orange-gold-green shimmer and a mix of gold and copper holo dust and holo flakies. This had a great formula that was opaque in 2-3 coats depending on application. I had fingers that were opaque in 2 coats and fingers that needed a third.

When I first got this, I had a hard time pin pointing what color I thought it was exactly. It felt slightly greyish and the shimmer was making it seem a little sagey green too in some lighting. In my swatch notes I came to the conclusion that it was “taupey with very strong shimmer”! The shimmer in this is very strong and the holo looks fantastic in the sun. About Hella Handmade Creations

The HHC shop opens each month on the 14th until the 21st. It features limited edition products from a variety of makers. All products are sold on a pre-order basis so they won’t ship out for around 4 weeks after the sale is over. Everything sold in HHC is limited edition and can only be found on that website during the sale period. Multiple orders to the same name and address are combined automatically and shipping overages are refunded. For international customers there is a Facebook group for people interested in sharing shipping fees located here.

This particular sale period will be extra exciting since there will be some overpours from past sales available! These overpours will be extremely limited as some of these polishes have less than 5 bottles available. I for one will be setting an alarm because there are a few polishes that I plan on grabbing and it is very rare that I am still awake at midnight. The overpours can be found on the returning polishes page of the HHC website.
