Hello friends! Today’s blog post is for the newest monthly duo by Heather’s Hues. For November the theme is Celebrate! If you are new, each month Heather asks members of her Facebook fan group to submit (and vote) on photos following a theme.
The winning photos get turned into limited edition nail polishes. You don’t need to be a member to purhcase these polishes and they are avaialble right now on the Heather’s Hues website!

Baubles
Description: a holographic base (a mix of holo glitter, flakes, and micro-shreds) with an aqua to pink shimmer. It’s filled with a mix of glitters in pink, purple, teal, and silver
Baubles had a good but thicker formula. I was not at all surprised at the thickness as there is a lot of glitter in here. The base is a little bit on the more sheer side but there’s just so much going on in there that I do think it does distract quite a bit from your visible nail line.
This polish has those large circle glitters that I absolutely love! They all spread out very evenly but they do give the polish a little bit of texture so I did pair this one with a glitter smoothing top coat. That seems to smooth everything out really nicely. I didn’t need to hold the bottle upsidedown or do any fishing for the glitters in here.
The shimmer in here was very strong. I do think the glitters distract a bit from it BUT I like the combination of everything in here. This polish was also very holographic. I ran out of daylight when I was swatching but even in my cave like nail room, I could see the holo.
This polish is sheer enough in 1 coat that you could use it as a topper. Personally, I like in build up in 2 coats. Normally I am a 3 coat gal to get the most glitter payoff, but this had so much glitter I was good in just 2 coats. I did have some VNL but since there was so much glitter going on, I only really noticed the nail line in my macro shot.
My photos shoe Baubles in 2 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Removal will of course be on the difficult side if you scrub this polish off.
Sunrise To Sunset
Description: a sheer pink crelly with a blue-violet to pink shimmer. It’s filled with a mix of silver holo glitters, flakes, and micro-shreds as well as silver reflective glitters.
Sunrise To Sunset also had a good but thicker formula. The base color on this polish is one of my least favorite shades of pink so while I do think the polish is pretty, I can also recognize that this isn’t the color for me.
I do really like the shimmer, holo and reflective glitters though. Those together made me like this one. The reflective glitters do give this polish some texture. You might be ok with a thicker coat of top coat but I opted for 2 coats of top coat for my swatches.
My photos show Sunrise to Sunset in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I think this polish will be a 2-3 coater depending on application and potentinally nail length. Shorter nails will be good in 2 coats.
Removal will be on the more messy side and a little difficult if you opt to scrub it off.
Final Thoughts
I thought this month’s duo was really fun. I kinda wish I wasn’t in such a rush to swatch them so that I could have enjoyed them a bit more but this month is just full of a lot of things that need to be reviewed.
Baubles was 10000% the standout top pick for me. I LOVE ciricle/dot glitters with a passion and holographic circles/dots especially make me excited!

Sale Information
The November duo is available right now on the Heather’s Hues website. Each polish is priced at $12.50 for 15ml bottles. These will only be available for the month of Novmeber and will be replaced by the December duo next month.
At the time of posting, I don’t know if Heather is planning a Black Friday sale or not. In years past, she has done them and usually the November duo is included in that sale. I will update this post if/when I get some information on that!
