[Press Samples – Post Disclosure Page]
Hey everyone! Today’s blog post is for the newest monthly duo by Heather’s Hues. If you are new to the brand, each month Heather asks remembers of her Facebook Fan group to submit and vote on photos for Heather to turn into limited edition polishes.
The theme for March is Springtime Palette. You won’t need to be a member of the Facebook group to purchase these but if you want to submit/vote or win these polishes, you will need to join.
The March duo is available right now on the Heather’s Hues website. Also launching with the duo is the 8 Year anniversary collection! My blog post for that will be up in a day or two. As always, links can be found at the end of the post

Keep Your Face Always Towards The Sunlight
Description: a thermal that’s a blue green when cold and lemon lime yellow when warm. It’s filled with a teal-blue-violet shimmer and a mix of iridescent flakes in red-orange-yellow-gold-green.
Price: $12.50
Keep Your Face Always Towards The Sunlight had a fantastic formula. The thermal aspect started changing on me right away. I found both colors to be as described.
The flakies all spread out very evenly without giving off any texture. You will want top coat as this polish dries down a little flat.
My photos show Keep Your Face Always Towards The Sunlight in 3 coats plus goth glossy and matte top coats. Removal won’t be overly difficult and I didn’t experience any staining.
Macarons, Tea And Oversized Sweaters
Description: a sheer pale lavender base filled with a mix of glitters in all colors of the spring palette!
Price: $12.50
Macarons, Tea And Oversized Sweaters had a fantastic formula. The glitters all spread out very evenly and easily. This polish was slightly on the thicker side due to the massive amount of glitters in it. However, I didn’t have any difficulty with the application. I also didn’t need to hold the bottle upside down or do any fishing to get great coverage.
The glitters will give this polish quite a bit of texture and make removal on the difficult side if you try to scrub it off. I found the base color was a *very* pale lavender that looked white at first glance. (My husband swears that it’s white.)
My photos show Macarons, Tea And Oversized Sweaters in 3 coats plus both glossy and matte top coat. Due to the glitters, I did pair this polish with a glitter smoothing top coat before going in with my quick dry top coat. I soaked this polish off with no issues.
Final Thoughts
Obviously, I loved this month’s duo! My top pick is going to be super obvious but I love Heather’s glitter crellies so Macarons, Tea And Oversized Sweaters is going to be my favorite. You put rainbow glitters in any base and I am going to like it.
I will mention when I saw these I thought of a few previously released Heather’s Hues polishes BUT they are not dupes! I’ll have comparisons up at the end of this post.

Comparisons
The most similar Heather’s Hues polish that I have to Keep Your Face.. is Find Beauty In The Small Things from the March 2021 PPU. The biggest differences between the two are the flakies. To my eye, there is also a color difference as well in both states.
And the most similar polish I had to Macarons, Tea And Oversized Sweaters was Lucky Charmed Life coincidentally, also from last year’s March Duo. Macarons has both a different base color and the glitter mix is different as well.
A note on thermal/solar polishes…
I want to note that thermal and solar polishes do have a shelf life on how long they will change colors. Generally, they are guaranteed to change colors for at least 6. My oldest thermal that still transitions is from 2018.
To get the most out of a thermal (all nail polish really) you’ll want to store them in a cool, dark place. I store my thermals with my other nail polish in the Ikea helmers. Once a thermal no longer changes color (aka dies), you can still wear them! The thermals that I own that have died, all stayed in the warm state but it’s not guaranteed to stay in the warm.
