Heather’s Hues August 2021 Duo
Hey friends! Today I have the newest monthly duo from Heather’s Hues! If you are new to the brand, each month Heather asks members of her Facebook fan group to submit and vote on photos for her to turn in to polishes. For August the theme is Macro or Microscopic.

Punch-Drunk Love
Description: a deep berry base packed with a mix of iridescent and multichrome flakes in fuschia, red, orange, and gold plus different sizes of matte black glitters
Punch-Drunk Love had a great crelly formula. All of the flakies and glitters spread out evenly and easily on their own without needing to do anything special. This polish SCREAMS Falloween to me! It makes me “I’m so over summer” heart happy.
This had really great coverage in two coats. I can definitely see people only doing two coats and reaching full opacity. I had a tiny bit of transparency towards my tips so I went in for a third coat which did deepen the color *slightly*. Punch Drunk Love dries down slightly textured so you will want to go in for 1-2 coats of top coat. I used 2 coats
Removal will be on the more difficult side due to the glitters. As per always, I would recommend soaking this off. I didn’t have any issues with staining.
Wishes
Description: a sheer blue base packed with a teal to blue shimmer and a mix of holo glitters and flakes. It also has periwinkle and sky blue glitters, baby blue holo microshreds, and a hint of emerald-teal-blue multichrome flakes
Wishes had a beautiful formula. This one is pretty sheer but builds up nicely. You will have some VNL at certain angles. The shimmer is very glowy and strong. I was seeing all of the described colors in person.
This polish is absolutely GORGEOUS! Nothing in here will dry textured or be overly difficult to remove. I would still recommend soaking this off for the easiest removal. I didn’t have any issues with staining.
Wishes can definitely be used as a topper as well. Over black or darker colors, the shimmer will really pop. I showed it in 1 coat over Heather’s Hues Shadow, which is her 1 coat black creme.

The August duo is available right now on the Heather’s Hues website. You can purchase each polish for $12.50 or pick up the duo for $25. This duo will only be available for the month of August and will be replaced by the September duo.
You do not need to be a member of the Facebook group to purchase these but you do need to be a member in order to submit/vote on photos.
