Glisten & Glow is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are handmade, 5 free, vegan and cruelty free.
Limestones at Luray
Description: rich caramel jelly polish with added holo microflakes and loaded with color shifting multichrome flakes that shift from purple/red/orange/yellow/green
Limestones at Luray had a fantastic formula. The base color on this is a medium caramel brown shade. Paired with the flakies, this is a prugly (pretty + ugly) polish lovers dream polish! All of the flakies spread very evenly easily without giving off any texture. In person, this was VERY color shifty! I was seeing all of the described colors.
This will be a 2 to 3 coater, depending on your own personal preference. Nothing in here will dry down textured but you will want top coat as this polish does dry down dull. Removal won’t be overly difficult.
Sunsets on Skyline Drive
Description: medium sky blue holo crelly loaded with rainbow iridescent flakes
Sunsets on Skyline Drive had a really wonderful formula. I found this to be VERY holographic even in my normal lighting around the house. The flakies all spread out evenly without giving off textured. I also didn’t have any problems with them sticking off the sides of my nails.
I used 3 coats for my swatches. I think I was being fairly picky as this had really great coverage in 2 coats. So this will also likely be a 2-3 coater depending on personal preference.
Visions in the Valley
Description: clear based polish jammed packed with both multichrome and iridescent flakes that shift from green/blue/gold/purple/red/pink
Visions in the Valley had a fantastic formula. All of the flakes spread very evenly and easily. I found the multichrome flakie seems to be the star of the show. The flakies do not dry down textured but I think this could potentially be a good polish to pair with a glitter eating top coat. I didn’t find that they were really top coat hungry but I had a feeling if I had this on for longer, that they might be a little top coat hungry.
I think this will be a 2-3 coater depending on personal preference. It was passable in 2 coats if you didn’t mind a little VNL but my photos show it in 3 coats. Removal on it won’t be overly difficult but it will be very messy if you try to scrub this one off.
This is a very densely packed flake polish, even in 1 coat. If you don’t mind most of your base color being obscured by the amount of flakies, you could use this as a topper.
Stalagmites & Stalactites at Skyline
Description: medium lilac polish loaded with color shifting shimmer that shifts from copper/gold/green/blue
Stalagmites & Stalactites at Skyline had a beautiful formula. This applied buttery smooth and I didn’t have any application issues. The shimmer in this is SO strong and very color shifty without showing brush strokes. I was mainly seeing the copper, gold to green color shifts, with blue coming in at extreme angles.
This polish will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on your own personal preference and potentially nail length. I used 3 coats for my photos. Nothing in here will be difficult to remove but you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
