Hi friends! Today’s blog post is for the newest release from Geeky Bee’s Nail Colors! This is the part two of the first Geeky Bee’s collection that I have ever reviewed, Plus Ultra. I can’t believe it has already been two years since this brand came onto the indie scene!
I am still fighting off the cold that hit me over the weekend but I am starting to feel more like myself, thankfully.

Amphibian Friend
Description: A froggy, kelly-leaning green base with just a bit of a pink shimmer, full of tiny bright yellow and small black hex glitters
Inspired by Tsuyu Asui
Amphibian Friend had a fantastic formula. The base was slightly on the thicker side but not at all difficult to work with. I thought that this color was going to be my least favorite out the collection but it ended up being my favorite!
The green base has this beautiful cool toned kelly green which is a shade of green that I didn’t know that I liked! The glitters of course added to my love for this polish. Those glitters do not dry down super textured so I found one coat of top coat smoothed everything out nicely.
Coverage was pretty good in 2 coats. I had a few dark spots so I opted to add a third. I do think this will be a 2-3 coater, if you go in for thicker coats it will likely be a solid 2 coater.
My photos show Amphibian Friend in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Removal will be on the more difficult side if you opt to scrub this polish off.
Defy Gravity
Description: A very pale pink with a pink shimmer, small rose-colored hex glitter, and tiny black bar glitter
Inspired by Ochaco Uraraka
Defy Gravity had a great formula. It was on the thicker side but not so thick that I needed to add thinner. This is a very pale shade of pink so you will need to build it up to reach even opacity.
The shimmer is very delicate and if you didn’t know to look for it, you might miss it. I don’t generally vibe well with pinks this light but the addition of the glitters made it more my speed.
None of the glitters dry down textured and they all spread out very evenly. My only wish for this polish is that the glitters were larger but that’s just me loving big ol glitters.
My photos show Deft Gravity in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Removal is going to be on the more difficult side, soak this one off or use a peel off base coat.
Make Some Noise
Description: A black crelly with silvery shimmer, deep violet microglitters, and packed with pink and purple hex glitters in various shades and sizes
Inspired by Kyoka Jiro.
Make Some Noise was on the thicker side. I did end up adding some thinner to my bottle as the level of thickness was making application well thick. I did mention this to Beth so it shouldn’t be a problem with customer bottles.
The black base skirts the line between being a jelly and a crelly so you do need to build it up to reach full opacity. Depending on the thickness of your coats, Make Some Noise will be a 2-3 coater.
There are a ton of glitters in this one but I didn’t need to do any fishing or hold the bottle upside down. There is some texture from the glitters but one thick coat of top coat seemed to smooth everything out nicely.
The pink and purple glitters look so cute and fun in the black base. I don’t generally like black bases but add some glitter in there and I am sold!
My photos show Make Some Noise in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. This polish dries down dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish. Removal will be on the more difficult side if you scrub this polish but the soak off method will make things easy.
Can You See Me?
Description: A clear-based glitter polish featuring deep teal green micro glitter, matte grey, and sparkly red glitter
Inspired by Tor Hagakure
Can You See Me? had a great but thicker formula. All of the glitters spread out very evenly with very minimal texture.
The glitters are so small in this polish that they will work really well over a variety of base colors. I was undecided on what color base I wanted to use so I opted to swatch it in 2 coats on its own and then one coat over a bright fuchsia shimmer (Eco Glaze by China Glaze in Blossomaire).

Final Thoughts
As someone who doesn’t know a thing about the anime these are inspired by (My Hero Academia), I went into swatching this collection just thinking “I love glitter so yay”. So as a glitter lover, I am very happy with the release.
I do wish there were some chunkier/larger glitters thrown in but I know I am (sadly) in the minority for loving big ol’ glitters. The collection looks great all together.
I always find the color stories Beth picks out to be interesting as they always pick out colors that I would have never put together myself yet somehow work cohesively.
My top pick without a doubt is going to be Amphibian Friend but Defy Gravity gets a special mention because of the bar glitters.
