Geekish Glitter Lacquer x Ravynia Trio [Past Release]
[Paid PR – Post Disclosure Page]
I think this is going to be the final ‘clearing out my drafts’ post of the day. This release came out earlier this year. I *think* it is still available. Links to the makers website are at the end of the blog post.
**This blog post isn’t 100% complete. The review portion are my original notes on the polishes**
Geekish Glitter Lacquer is US based indie brand. Their polishes are fandom inspired, handmade, and do not test on animals.
Love Bug
Description: a lilac creme shade
Love Bug had a beautiful buttery smooth formula. It applied so evenly and was just like a dream to apply.
I was honestly shocked that I liked this polish as much as I did.
I used 2 coats for my photos.
Nuts
Description: a copper-rose-gold metallic polish with a holographic flake shimmer
Nuts had a fantastic formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. I found this had a metallic look on the nail. It was also VERY holographic!
My photos show Nuts in 3 coats plus top coat. For personal wear, I would wear this in 2 coats. The only reason I added a third coat was because I had a *tiny* amount of VNL on the clear part of my nail that I thought would show in photos.
Nothing in here will dry textured or be difficult to remove. You will want top coat as the polish dries fairly dull.
Sweet Banner
Description: a green mint-leaning polish with a gold-copper in it to give a similar appearance to the patina on aging copper
Sweet Banner had a really great formula. It felt *slightly* on the thicker side but I wouldn’t say it was a thick polish, if that makes any sense at all. It was very opaque but slightly streaky so it will need at least 2 coats to reach full opacity.
The gold shimmer is on the more delicate side but very easy to see with the naked eye. I did notice a few pieces of unmixed pigment in the polish both on my nail as well as in the bottle. I let Lexi know so it shouldn’t be an issue with customer bottles.
My photos show Sweet Banner in 3 coats plus glossy and matte top coat. This will be a 2-3 coater depending on nail length and application. Shorter nails will likely be good in 2 coats.
This polish dries down a little flat so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
