Andromeda
Description: a black/red multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter scattered in
Andromeda The base started off a little sheer but builds up very nicely. Out of all of the multichrome bases, I think this one was the darkest.
In person, I could see the black to red color shift but I found the main color that I was seeing was the black/dark grey.
My photos show Andromeda in 3 coats with 2 coats of top coat. Removal will be on the more difficult/messy side if you choose to scrub it off. I soaked it off with minimal mess.
Equinox
Description: a teal/purple/gold multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter scattered in
Equinox In person, I was seeing a green/teal, blue to purple color shift. I could see the gold shift in the bottle but not on the nail. Regardless, it was very color shifty!
My photos show Equinox in 2 coats with 2 coats of top coat. I think this will be a solid 2 coater on most people. Removal won’t be overly difficult but it will be on the messy side.
Light Speed
Description: a super strong silver linear holographic nail polish
Light Speed had a fantastic formula. This polish is EXTREMELY (!!!) holographic. The holo flame is on the smoother spectrum and very very strong. The holo strength in this reminds me of the holo chrome powders that were really popular a few years ago.
This polish was very holographic, when I went to snag the mail I could still see the holo rainbows despite it being a rainy overcast day.
My photos show Light Speed in 3 coats plus 1 coat of top coat. I think it will be a 2-3 coater depending on nail length. For personal wear, I would likely wear this in 2 coats.
Nothing in here dried down textured but you will want top coat for a glossy finish as it dries down dull.
Meteor Shower
Description: a blue/purple/red multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter scattered in
Meteor Shower In person, I was seeing all of the described colors in the multichrome.
My photos show Meteor Shower in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Like the other polishes, removal will be messy especially if you try to scrub it off. I removed this one with a peel off base coat.
Nebula
Description: a blue/green multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter scattered in
Nebula was a little on the more sheer side but it built up very quickly. In person, I was seeing the color as described.
To get full coverage, I would recommend wearing this polish in 3 coats. It dried down *slightly* more opaque than it applied but if you have much of a free edge, you will want to go in for 3 coats.
My photos show Nebula in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat.
Quasar
Description: a gold/pink/green multichrome nail polish with silver reflective glitter scattered in
Quasar The multichrome was exactly as described. This was immediately one of my favorites due to the color shifts.
My photos show Quasar in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat.
Final Thoughts
All of the multichrome reflective polishes had the same great formula. They didn’t feel overly thick or thin and will be 2-3 coater depending on personal preference.
I found the reflective pigment gave them quite a bit of texture so they will all need 2 layers of top coat for a completely smooth finish. I used the Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber before going in with my quick dry top coat. I would recommend a glitter smoothing top coat for these reflective glitters if you dislike feeling any texture on your nails.
If you are like me and really like textured polishes, you might want to try these without top coat.
As a whole, I really liked this collection. I love how reflective glitters look in person. I kinda dread having to photograph them but as a polish lover, I really enjoy how they look. My top picks from this release are Quasar and Andromeda.
