Bee’s Knees Lacquer Lore Olympus Collection + Mystery Polishes
[Sponsored – Post Disclosure Page]
Hey friends! Today’s blog post is for the newest collection by Bee’s Knees Lacquer. This is their Lore Olympus collection. I also have the mystery polishes for the release as well as the Monster Mystery Polish for March.
This release has a little something for everyone in my opinion. The collection launches on March 25th for a 3 day pre-order window. There will also be a 25% off sitewide sale at the time of release.
As always, links and sale details can be found at the end of the post. I tucked the mystery polishes all the way at the end with plenty of warnings.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly.
An Act of Wrath
Description: a cherry red jelly with green to blue to purple shimmer
Price: $13
An Act of Wrath had a really great formula. In the bottle, I thought this looked like a bright pink but on the nail, it looked closer to a red. However, by the time I got to that third coat I feel like it was back to looking very pink.
The shimmer in here was very strong and glowy. I was seeing all of the described colors in person.
My photos show An Act of Wrath in 3 coats plus top coat. This polish is on the more sheer side so you will have some VNL with it in 3 coats. I thought this one was going to potentially be a stainer but I didn’t experience any staining.
Demeter
Description: a deep grape purple with gold to green multichrome magnetic shimmer
Price: $13
Demeter had a beautiful formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. The magnetic shimmer was very color shifty. I found the colors I was seeing in person were gold, green with blue at extreme angles.
This magnetized very easily for me. For my photos, I use an X bar magnet and for my live swatch video, I used a bar magnet. I was trying out a different magnet than my usual ring magnet and I found that the lines didn’t stay as crisp after magnetizing. That seemed to be an issue with the magnet and not the polish itself.
My photos show Demeter in 3 coats plus top coat. I magnetized the third coat and on my ring finger, the polish is unmagnetized.
Random, I had this polish on for a few hours. I found how my nails looked in these photos the polish still looked a few hours later. I know some people question how magnetic polishes look a few hours after magnetizing so I can confirm this one looked the same as my photos.
Do I Look Like a Scoundrel To You?
Description: a cobalt to purple to red sheer shimmer with black to blue to purple multichrome flakes
Price: $13.50
Do I Look Like a Scoundrel To You? had a wonderful formula. The flakies all spread out very evenly and easily without giving off any texture. I loved the way the multichrome looked in this polish!
In person, I was mainly seeing the multichrome color shift but depending on the angle I could also see the shimmer effect.
My photos show Do I Look Like a Scoundrel To You? in 3 coats plus top coat. It does dry down a little dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
Do You Need Me To Kill Someone For You?
Description: a red to green UP with gold light reflective glitter
Price: $16
Do You Need Me To Kill Someone For You? had a really great formula. Since this polish is in a clear base, you will have obvious VNL with it.
The shimmer paired with the gold glitter gave this a very strong golden look on the nail. I found I was seeing the red/gold/green color shifts from the unicorn pee shimmer but this has a strong golden look on the nail.
The reflectiveness for this polish to my eye was mainly a silver with golden twinkles. The flash on my iPhone was able to pick up golden reflects BUT what the iPhone flash photographs isn’t what your eyes will actually see in person.
The reflective glitters do give this polish some texture. To get this perfectly smooth, I would suggest doubling up on your top coat. I used a glitter smoothing top coat (KBShimmer’s Smooth Moves).
My photos show Do You Need Me To Kill Someone For You? in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. I also swatched this polish in 1 coat over Holo Taco’s Bring Me The Teal.
Removal will be on the more messy side due to the glitters. I used a peel off base coat but soaking this off will help with removal.
Hades
Description: a deep turquoise with blue to purple multichrome magnetic shimmer
Price: $13
Hades had a beautiful formula. The base color paired with the shimmer gives this a slight navy blue look on the nail but I can see that the base is a dark turquoise. The magnetic shimmer was very color shifty. I was seeing a blue, purple, pink to gold color shift in person.
I used 3 coats for my photos. I magnetized the third coat with an s magnet and left my ring finger unmagnetized. This polish will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on personal preference. It was like 90% opaque in 2 coats on me.
Like the previous magnetic polish, I found my lines didn’t stay crisp for very long. Again, I am crediting that to my magnet and not the polish itself.
I Need A Positive Navigator
Description: soft coral with large particle aqua to purple shimmer
Price: $13
I Need A Positive Navigator (surprise) also had a beautiful formula. The shimmer is a larger particle size kinda similar to a micro flakie but this doesn’t dry textured nor will it be difficult to remove.
I found the coral base leaned very much to a pink tone. I would say it is coral-y but leans very much to a pink coral.
My photos show I Need A Positive Navigator in 3 coats plus top coat.
One Million Perfect Roses
Description: green to blue sibling UP with ruby light reflective glitter
Price: $16 | Cap: 400 bottles
One Million Perfect Roses had a beautiful formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin, which honestly was surprising since this has a ton of glitter in it. The shimmer was strong and as described. The glitters in here spread out very evenly and easily. They do give off some texture so to get the smoothest finish possible, you will want to double up on your top coat.
For these reflective glitters, while they are very sparkly/twinkly, I wasn’t really seeing red reflects. I could see the red glitters out on my nails but as far as reflectiveness, I was mainly seeing silver with red twinkles. My iPhone flash was able to pick up the red reflects but your eyeballs won’t actually see the polish like the photo below.
My photos show One Million Perfect Roses in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Removal will be on the messy side so I used a peel off base coat for my swatch photos.
Persephone
Description: an olive green with pink to gold to green multichrome magnetic shimmer
Price: $13
Persephone had a beautiful formula. It started off a little sheer but it built up really nicely. The multichrome pigment pairs really beautifully with the olive base. I was seeing the colors as described.
This magnetized easily for me using an S magnet as well as a bad magnet for my live swatch video. Once again, I feel like my lines didn’t stay super crisp but I am blaming my magnet.
I used 3 coats for my photos. My ring finger is unmagnetized and I magnetized the third coat on the other nails. I would say unmagnetized this is 100% opaque, magnetized in was like 80% opaque.
We Will Not Take His Sh*t
Description: a mid-toned purple with glowy to green to blue shimmer. This is a warmer purple than Doomicorn.
Price: $13
We Will Not Take His Sh*t had a really great formula. The shimmer was very strong and glowy. I found the base color to be a warm, almost pink leaning purple.
While I was swatching this polish I kept feeling like I swatched it before. Side by side with Doomicorn (released Polish Pickup June 2021) you can see the base colors are different. I’ll have a comparison up after the swatch photos.
My photos show We Will Not Take His Sh*t in 3 coats. I did have very obvious VNL with this polish.
Where Are The Dead Bodies?
Description: a gold to green sibling UP with sky blue light reflective glitter
Price: $16 | Cap: 400 bottles
Where Are The Dead Bodies? had a wonderful formula. didn’t have any formula or application issues. The glitters all spread out very evenly and gave the polish a bit of texture.
The sibling UP was as described and very strong.
As with the other reflective glitter polishes, my eyes were picking up the silver reflects with like hints of the blue. The blue glitters do give a blue look on the nail.
My photos show Where Are The Dead Bodies? in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Removal will be on the difficult/messy side if you try to scrub this off. I paired the polish with a peel off base coat.
You’re Not That Weird
Description: soft sage with glowy blue shimmer
Price: $13
You’re Not That Weird had a really great formula. This base color is somewhere between a sage green and a pea soup green. I’ll be honest this isn’t my cup of tea but I do really like the shimmer.
The shimmer was VERY strong and extremely glowy. Like I was mesmerized by just how glowy the shimmer was.
My photos show You’re Not That Weird in 3 coats plus top coat. I did have very obvious VNL with this polish.
Your Golden Traitor
Description: a golden pastel multichrome that shifts from gold to green to blue. This is a smaller particle than Dreamer Born Into a Court of Nightmares, and has a stronger shift than the Oracle
Price: $13
Your Golden Traitor also had a great formula. The multichrome in this polish was very color shifty, I was seeing a gold, green, blue to purple color shift in person.
This was another extremely glowy polish in person.
My photos show Your Golden Traitor in 3 coats plus top coat. I did have very obviously VNL with this polish. I will note in lower light situations, the VNL won’t be as drastic and the multichrome will be even more glowy.

Final Thoughts
I really liked how this collection had a variety of finishes as well as colors. I was surprised that the polishes I thought for sure were going to be my favorites (An Act of Wrath & One Million Perfect Roses) ended up not being my favorites.
My top picks are going to be Persephone and Demeter. I will give an honorable mention to You’re Not That Weird as I was in shock that while I didn’t like the base color, I was obsessed with the shimmer.
