Hey friends! Today’s post is for the newest collection by Bee’s Knees Lacquer. I am pretty dang excited for this one, this collection has a new black to red multichrome flakie and I am OBSESSED!
This collection was inspired by the game, Resident Evil Village and is available now on the Bee’s Knees website as well as their international stockists. As always, links and sale details will be at the end of this post.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are 5 free, Vegan and Cruelty-Free.

Curse You!
Description: the fuschia sister of Don’t Go To Sleep with the same deep bronze to gold to lime green to blue shift.
Price: $13
Curse You! had a great formula. It applied very evenly and the shimmer doesn’t show brush strokes. I was seeing all of the described colors in person. The base to my eye is a slightly darkened fuschia that leans slightly red toned/berry depending on what color the shimmer is showing.
Like Don’t Go To Sleep (reviewed here), you will see pretty much the entire rainbow of colors in the shimmer. This will be opaque in 2-3 coats depending on preference. The third coat does deepen the color and adds opacity.
Donna and Angie
Description: a pink leaning mauve with black to red multichrome flakes $13
Price: $13
Donna And Angie applied very nicely and evenly. It is pretty sheer so you will have some obvious VNL. The flakies in this are small and don’t give off any texture. The color shift is very much like the black to red multichrome polishes. So you’ll see a dark grey/black to red to orange in person.

Everyone Falls in Love With Me Eventually
Description: the purple sister to Keep reaching Your Hand Out, this is a pale gray polish with soft purple shimmer and lots of holo flakes
Price: $12
Everyone Falls in Love With Me Eventually Had a fantastic formula. The shimmer is very strong in the base and has a color shift. In person I was seeing a purple to a pink and *maybe* an orangey pink shade (coral?).
You get pretty good coverage in 2 coats but to cover up any nail line, you’ll want that third coat. Nothing in here dried textured or will be difficult to remove.
Heisenberg
Description: a rusty orange with black to red multichrome flakes
Price: $13
Heisenberg had the exact same formula and application as Donna and Angie.
My photos show it in 3 coats on its own as well as in 1 coat over Orly’s Canon Clay (reviewed here).
I Will Devour All of You
Description: the blue sister to Keep Reaching Out Your Hand, this is a pale gray polish with glowy blue shimmer and lots of holo flakes
Price: $12
I Will Devour All of You had a great formula. The shimmer is extremely strong and glows! This had pretty good coverage in 2 coats but it was a little sheer so I used 3 coats for my photos.
Nothing in here dried textured or will be difficult to remove.
Lady Dimitrescu
Description: a light pinky red with black to red multichrome flakes
Price: 13
Lady Dimitrescu formula and application was the same as the previous polishes with the black to red flakies.
My photos show it in 3 coats on its own as well as in 1 coat over Maniology’s stamping polish called Leather (Use my code NLN10 to save 10% on the Maniology website)
Moreau
Description: a teal polish with black to red multichrome flakes
Price: $13
Moreau also had the same formula as the previous black to red polishes.
My photos show it in 3 coats. I swatched this in 1 coat over Heather’s Hues Jolly which is a christmas-y green creme.
Mother Miranda
Description: a steel blue polish with black to red multichrome flakes
Price: $13
Mother Miranda formula and application was the same as the other polishes like it.
My photos show it in 3 coats as well as in 1 coat over Stream On Stream Away by KBShimmer.
Mutamycete
Description: an apple green with black to red multichrome flakes
Price: $13
Mutamycete had the same great formula as the other black red multichrome flakie polishes in this release.
I swatched this in 3 coats. I also swatched it in 1 coat over Olive by Olive Ave Polish.

The Resident Evil Village collection will be available on pre-order June 25th at 12PM Eastern time until June 29th at 3AM Eastern time on BeesKneesLacquer.com. The full collection is also available at a discounted rate.
If you miss the preorder period, overpours should be available in July. BKL also does a great job at bringing back polishes if they get requested in their Facebook Fan Group.

Thank you! I just installed a new comparison slider as my old one wasn’t working properly.
I think the last RE game I picked up was on the Gamecube? 😅 I don’t know why but I just never can get in to them.
