Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Lake Tianchi Monster

Inspiration: the sightings of a mysterious monster in Lake Tianchi (on the border of China and Korea),
Description: a soft cornflower blue with copper to gold to green shimmer that will look pink in certain lighting
Price: $13

Lake Tianchi Monster had a fantastic formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any issues with application. This polish starts off pretty sheer and in 3 coats doesn’t quite reach full opacity. The sheerness in the base does help the shimmer really glow and it looks stunning!

The shimmer was as described. I didn’t see any brush strokes through it. Since it is on the more sheer side, I was curious about how this would look as a topper so I paired it with Night Owl Lacquer’s Feeling Blue Without You in 1 coat. I love it both ways.

My photos show Lake Tianchi Monster in 3 coats plus glossy top coat.
