[Paid Press Samples – Post Disclosure Page]
Hey friends! Today I have swatches for the newest collection from Bee’s Knees Lacquer. This one is a continuation of last month’s release based on the book series From Blood And Ash. This collection is absolutely beautiful and it’s full of color shifty goodness!
This is an 8 piece collection that launches on August 27th on the Bee’s Knees Lacquer website as well as their international stockists. As always, links, sale details, and comparisons will be at the end of this post.

Review for part 1
Bad Influence
Description: a baby pink pastel multichrome that shifts from deep raspberry to orange to green. Can be worn on its own or over your favorite blurring base coat
Price: $13
Bad Influence had a beautiful formula. This polish is on the more sheer side so you will definitely want to build it up for opacity or layer it with another polish. This is a very color shifty polish! In person I was seeing purple, pink, gold and yellowish green. The multichrome pigment in this does not show brushstrokes at all.
I swatched this one in 3 coats on its own, 3 coats over a VNL blurring base coat (ring finger), and then one coat over a pink cream. Over the blurring base it is just slightly less color shifty. If they weren’t side by side, I probably wouldn’t notice the difference. This one will be really fun to pair with a variety of base colors.
Blood of the Gods
Description: the pink sister to Doomicorn with the same bright green to aqua shimmer
Price: $12
Blood of the Gods also had a beautiful formula. This polish is the pink version of Doomicorn from the June 2021 Polish Pickup. Like Doomicorn, it is on the sheer side so you will have obvious VNL with this polish. Also like Doomicorn, this is EXTREMELY glowly and color shifty!
My photos show this polish in 3 coats on its own and on my thumb, in 3 coats over a VNL blurring base coat. Personally, I prefer it on its own.
Elementals
Description: a dark honey colored linear holo
Price: $13
Elementals had a really great formula and applied buttery smooth. The holographic is extremely strong. The base color for this is a very unique color. It’s not gold, brown, caramel, or orange. A dark honey really is the best way to describe it.
This will be opaque in two coats but I found a third coat does seem to make the holographic effect stronger. My photos show this polish in 3 coats. I didn’t have any problems with my top coat dulling the holographic effect.
I Have So Many Questions
Description: an aqua pastel multichrome that shifts from emerald green to blue to purple. Can be worn on its own or over your favorite blurring base coat.
Price: $13
I Have So Many Questions also had a great formula. This one is on the more sheer side, so you’re definitely gonna want to build it up for opacity or wear it over something that’s opaque. I was seeing all of the described colors in person.
As I mentioned, this polish is on the sheer side so you will have some VNL with it. I swatched it in 3 coats on its own and in 3 coats over a VNL blurring base (ring finger). Like the previous pastel multichrome, I prefer this in 3 coats on its own.
Lamaea
Description: a rich violet base with a jewel-toned shimmer that shifts from green to blue to purple
Price: $12
Lamaea had a really amazing formula. This polish is extremely pigmented so make sure to wear a base coat with this, potentially 2 coats of base coat if you are prone to staining. This polish is so beautiful I don’t think it’s possible to describe just how beautiful it is in person.
Due to the shimmer, this polish will look blue, blurple or blurple depending on what angle/lighting. The color shift is more on the subtle side. This polish will be a 2 coater on pretty much everyone.
Note: I did have some minor staining with this polish after wearing it for 24 hours. The staining only affected my hard gel and not my natural nail. I would also suggest soaking this polish off and not scrubbing it to also prevent staining.
Soul Eater
Description: a sky blue pastel multichrome that shifts from cobalt to purple to pink. Can be worn on its own or over your favorite blurring base coat
Price: $13
Soul Eater also had a great formula. This one seemed sheerer than the other polishes in this release. This is very color shifty. In person, I was seeing all of the described colors.
Like the other pastel multichromes, you will have pretty obvious VNL. I used 3 coats for my photos. On my ring finger, I swatched this over a VNL blurring base.
Note: I found the blurring base coat I used gave this an almost greenish undertone so I would recommend wearing a warmer toned VNL blurring base than the one that I used. The one I use tends to lean very yellow.
To Take Back What Is Mine
Description: the cornflower blue sister to Doomicorn with the same bright green to aqua shimmer
Price: $12
To Take Back What Is Mine also (surprise!) had a great formula. The shimmer in this looks SO beautiful paired with that cornflower blue base! I just love that shimmer.
This was a little sheer in 2 coats so I used 3 coats for my photos. You will still have some VNL with this polish in 3 coats.
Uncomfortably Curious
Description: a bright coral with glowy green shimmer and microflakes. Will dry with some texture so a glossy top coat is recommended
Price: $13
Uncomfortably Curious also had a great formula. In the bottle, this has a very pinky coral look but on the nail it leans a bit more pink toned. I also found that the green shimmer is actually a very color shifty shimmer. In person I was seeing a green, blue, pink and purple color shift.
I didn’t find that it dried noticeably textured. Maybe just slightly but nothing that would be difficult to remove or similar to a glitter polish. I did have obvious VNL with this polish. I used 3 coats for my photos.
