Bee’s Knees Lacquer Elden Ring Part 1
Sponsored Post/Commisioned Content, post disclosure page
Hi friends! Today I am sharing the most recent collection from Bee’s Knees Lacquer. For June’s collection, BKL is inspired by the video game Elden Ring. This is actually going to be a two parter, the July collection will be a continuation.
The Elden Ring Part 1 collection goes on sale June 14th on the Bee’s Knees Lacquer website. As always, more sale information can be found at the end of the post.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly.
Get Lobstered
Description: a sheer grayed out purple with strong green to blue microflake shimmer
My photos show 3 coats plus glossy top coat. This is a fairly sheer polish so you won’t be able to reach full opacity with it without using an opaque base.
Let’s See the Stars
Description: a rich blurple base with soft blue shimmer
My photos show Let’s See the Stars in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. This dries down dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
Maidenless
Description: a sheer pale purple with strong gold to green to blue microflake shimmer
I wasn’t able to pick up the blue color shift in person but the gold to green was very easy to spot on the nail.
My photos show Maidenless in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. The brand does warn that this polish dries down with some texture. I didn’t notice this drying down as textured as a glitter polish but you will want top coat to smooth everything out.
Nokstella
Description: a new pink Lion cousin, this is a mid-toned purple base with pink to gold to green shimmer and a ton of holo flakes
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this polish! The holo flakes are SO sparkly! I wasn’t able to spot the described green color shift, but the pink to gold were obvious to me.
My photos show Nokstella in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I did have some VNL with this polish. Removal isn’t going to be overly difficult for this one but it will be a little messy.
Praise the Dog
Description: a sheer grayed out blue with strong pink to gold to green microflake shimmer
Praise The Dog to my eye this pulls very grey, I wasn’t getting a ton of the blue out other than this seeming like a cool toned grey. The shimmer was BEAUTIFUL however I wasn’t able to see the green color shift.
My photos show Praise The Dog in 3 coats plus glossy top coat.
This Is Cailead!
Description: a rich scarlet with strong green to purple microflake shimmer
This Is Cailead! is my favorite of the shimmers from this collection. I did find that it gave me a very slightl case of lobster hands but nothing major.
The color shifts on this were fantastic. The purple shift came in for me at very extreme angles, the green to blue were the predominate colors.
My photos show This Is Cailead! in 3 coats plus glossy top coat.
The Golden Path
Description: a new gold Lion cousin, this is a dark gold base with gold to green shimmer and a ton of holo flakes
The Golden Path as someone who loves the color gold (currently wearing a gold mani actually), I knew this polish was going to knock my socks off. Out of all of the Lion cousin sibling colors BKL has released, I am so surprised that we haven’t gotten one already!
The sparkle level of the holo flakies in this polish was top notch. By FAR my favorite polish from this collection.
My photos show The Golden Path in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. The flakies do not dry down textured but they will make removal messy.
Torrent
Description: a mix between gray and taupe with silver to blue metallic shimmer
Torrent I am not (generally) the bigger love of taupey shades but there was something about this one that I really enjoyed!
My photos show Torrent in 3 coats plus glossy top coat.
Where Am I?
Description: a new emerald to blue to purple multichrome that shifts red/orange at the extremes
Where Am I? I wasn’t able to see any red or orange color shifts with this one. To my eye it was all blue to purple goodness!
My photos show Where Am I? in 2 coats.
