Color Spectrum Polish – Let’s Take A Trip

Let’s Take A Trip had a great formula. It was slightly on the thicker side but I found application very easy. The polish does have the tendency to run down the stem of the brush but I didn’t find it made application difficult.
At first, I thought there weren’t many glitters in the bottle but when built up in three coats I got great coverage. This is a very sheer jelly base so you will want to build it up to get the most opacity as well as to build up the glitter coverage.
I was really loving the sheerness of the jelly base paired with the glitters. The polish itself reminds me of the mushrooms from Super Mario Brothers. I am not usually a red polish lover but I just loved how this looked.
The glitters do not dry down textured so one coat of top coat smoothed everything out nicely for me. I didn’t need to hold the bottle upside down between coats but I did run it through my nail polish shaker prior to swatching.
My photos show Let’s Take A Trip in 3 coats plus both glossy and matte top coats. Removal will be a little difficult due to the glitters, I would recommend the soak off method. I didn’t experience any staining.

Night Owl Lacquer – Zapshrooms
Inspiration: zapshrooms from Zelda Breath of the Wild
Description: a clear base with chartreuse metallic micro flakies, copper/gold/green micro flakie shimmer and holographic flecks
Price: $13 for 15ml | Cap: None
Zapshrooms had a fantastic but slightly thicker formula. I love love love this shade of yellow! It is the perfect yellowy green chartreuse shade.
The holographic was very strong out in natural lighting. I found indoors, I could see some holo sparkle but obviously nothing like bright sunshine.
As with many of the Night Owl Lacquer polishes in a clear base, this does need to be built up to reach full opacity. I found on my current nail length, that was 2 coats. Longer nails will likely want to go in for a third coat to get more opacity.
My photos show Zapshrooms in 2 coats plus glossy top coat. Nothing in here will dry down textured but removal will be pretty messy.
