Also side note, how cute are the new labels for this brand?!

Fruity Smoothie

Description: a clear base with peach, watermelon, and apple green matte glitters in various sizes
Price: $10

Fruity Smoothy had a great formula. It didn’t feel thick at all despite having so many glitters in it. The glitters all spread out evenly and easily on their own. I didn’t notice a difference in glitter coverage between holding the bottle upside down vs not.

I showed this in 1 coat over Just Juiced and then on my ring finger in wearing it in 3 coats. This does dry down textured so you will want a top coat to smooth it out. To get a perfectly smooth finish, you will want to go in for 2 layers of top coat.

Just Juiced

Description: pastel orange crelly with orange shimmer
Price: $12

Just Juiced also had a great formula. It is a light pastel peachy orange shade with a subtle shimmer. It self levels out very smoothly.

It was a little uneven/patchy at first but the unevenness evens outs in 3 coats. I did notice that floating the brush over the nail helps this apply more evenly. I think this will be a 2-3 coater depending on application and nail length. I used 3 coats for my photos.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed this month’s duo. I was a little disappointed that the glitter topper didn’t have the fun shaped glitters like in previous months but I still really enjoyed the polishes. My top pick is Fruity Smoothy, but I like these two as a set.

Sale Info

The June duo is available right now on the Sweet & Sour Lacquer website. You can purchase each polish individually or as a set for $20.

At the time of upload, the April duo (reviewed here) and a few of the polishes from previous months are available to purchase.

Bonus?

Wayne planted this Golden Chain tree last year and it just started blooming! I thought it looked so pretty so I used it as a background for my outdoor shot for this release. Depending on how long the bloom lasts, it will be making more appearances in swatch photos haha.
