Hey friends! Today I have the newest monthly duo from Sweet & Sour Lacquer. Y’all know I have been LOVING the monthly duos by this brand and today’s duo is no exception! These are available right now on the Sweet & Sour website. As always, links and sale details will be at the end of this post.

Summer Days
Description: pastel yellow crelly with yellow/green shimmer
Price: $12
Summer Days had a beautiful crelly formula. This is a pastel yellow so while it wasn’t finicky to apply, I was mindful on how many brush strokes I used to apply it. This polish doesn’t like being overworked. It self levels out really nicely so if you do overwork it, the ridges settle themselves out.
Like previous monthly duos, the shimmer is very delicate and was a little tricky to photograph. This month’s crelly did seem to be more color shifty than previous months though. I was seeing a color shift from yellow to green.
This will be a 2-3 coater depending on application and potentially nail length. No issues with staining.
Summer Lovin’
Description: a clear base topper with gold holo glitter mix and matte pink hearts

Summer Lovin’ also had a great formula. The glitters spread out evenly on their own. I found the heart shaped glitters did want to sink in the bottle a bit so I would recommend holding the bottle upside down between coats. I also swished my brush around in the bottle to make sure I got out the hearts.
I decided to have some fun with this one so I swatched Summer Lovin’ in 1 coat over a black creme (Heather Hues Shadow), orange holographic (Heather’s Hues Strength), yellow holo (Heather’s Hues Charm), 3 coats on its own, and over a green holo (Heather’s Hues Fortuity). On my ring finger, I used 2 coats of top coat.
The gold glitters are very holographic. They don’t dry down very textured but the hearts do. Depending on your preference, you’d want to go in for 1-2 coats of top coat. Removal will be difficult due to the amount of glitters.
