Swamp Gloss is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are 10 Free, Vegan & Cruelty Free.

A Bit of Both

Description: a navy leaning blurple to bright green thermal, mint matte hexes and iridescent color shifting flakes

A Bit Of Both had a great formula. The glitters/flakies all spread out evenly and easily. The thermal aspect started changing on me right away. The warm state is a springtime green shade and the cold state is a navy blue.

This polish had pretty good coverage in 2 coats but I think it will be a 3 coater. Specifically so that the warm state is more opaque. Nothing in here will dry down textured but removal will be difficult if you try to scrub it off.

Broken Horn

Description: a black jelly swimming with shifting shimmer and white matte hexes

Broken Horn Had a great jelly formula. The shifty shimmer is very color shifty. In person I was seeing, blue to purple to pink to gold with green at extreme angles.

The glitters all spread out evenly and easily on their own without needing to do anything special. They also drive down surprisingly smooth so I only needed 1 coat of top coat.

I think this will be a solid 3 coater. It starts off pretty sheer so you will want to build it up. I do think this would also look amazing for black or a dark colored creme polish. Broken Horn dries down pretty dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.

Removal will be difficult if you try to scrub it off so I would recommend soaking this off or wearing a peel off base coat.

For All Time

Description: a charcoal jelly with aqua hexes and bright red orange hexes and triangles with an orange glow

For All Time had a great jelly formula. The glitters all spread out evenly and easily on their own. This polish starts off sheer but builds up nicely for full opacity.

This will be a solid 3 coater. I found it doesn’t dry textured but you will want top coat for a perfectly smooth and glossy finish. I had just a tiny bit of VNL so I would say this is 90% opaque.

This polish glows in the dark an orangey shade. I charged it up for a few seconds with a blacklight flashlight. It didn’t seem to stay charged for very long so I made sure to let Katie know so that customer bottles will charge better.

Jet Skis Are Awesome!

Description: a purple to blue/green thermal with aqua hexes and iridescent color shifting flakes

Jet Skis Are Awesome! had a fantastic formula. The thermal aspect started changing on me right away. The cold state is a periwinkle leaning purple and the warm state is a vibrant blueish green.

The glitters and flakes spread out evenly on their own. I didn’t need to do anything special to get full glitter coverage. They do dry down slightly textured but 1 coat of top coat smooths them out completely.

This polish will also be 3 coater. There will be some obvious VNL in the warm state. Removal will also be on the more difficult side if you try to scrub it off.

Mischievous Scamp

Description: a multichrome magnetic, shifts of gold green, emerald and blue with metallic micro flakes and iridescent colorshifting flakes

Mischievous Scamp had a beautiful formula. It starts off very sheer so you will want to build it up for opacity. In person, I was seeing all of the described colors. The flakes shift in similar colors to the multichrome pigment. The flakes are on the larger side so you might have a few that try to hang over the sides of your nails. They’re easily pushed back or off the nail by using the brush.

I think this will be a solid 3 coater. As it was still fairly sheer in 2 coats. I also showed this in 2 coats over a black creme. I really liked the darkness a black base gave this. Nothing in here dried textured or will be overly difficult to remove.

Note: I used a ring magnet for my photos.

Sprayable Lotion

Description: A sprayable lotion in a 4 ounce fine mist spray bottle.
Price: $9 for 4oz

Katie was very sweet and sent out this sprayable lotion with the PR packages! I have never tried a product like this before so I was very curious about it. The scent I received was You’re In My Seat which is described as warm sugar, whipped buttercream, musk. It smelled exactly like the description which made me very happy as I love sweet scents!

Scent wise, it’s light and doesn’t linger. I will only notice the scent in it if I bring my nose to the area where I sprayed it. It sprays in a mist so it covers a good portion of skin at a time. Just so that I don’t get the spray all over the place, I do aim it pretty close to my skin. To cover my arms I usually give it 2-3 sprays per arm. The consistency is on the thin side not quite watery but thinner than I am used to for a lotion. However, I assume that is so that it can be sprayed. It doesn’t feel sticky or oily which is always a plus.

It hasn’t replaced my go-to favorite body butter that I use after showers but I do use this during the day if my skin is looking or feeling ashy.

Final Thoughts

Yet another fantastic fandom release by Swamp Gloss! I don’t know how they do it but this brand has a way of making glitter polishes that don’t dry super textured and are good with 1 coat of top coat. I used the Swamp Gloss top coat for all of my photos.
