Live Swatch

1422 Designs – Ultimate Knockout

Inspiration: Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout Logo
Description: a bright blue crelly with blue-purple-pink shifting shimmer, pink holo glitter, violet holo glitter, and rainbow shifting bar glitters.
Price: $12 for 15ml Cap: 50

Ultimate Knockout had a great formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin. The glitters spread out evenly and easily on their own. This is a very sparkly polish! The shimmer to my eye seemed like a blueish purple. It didn’t seem very color shifty to my eyes but it was still very beautiful.

It is slightly on the sheer side so you will want to build it up. I used 3 coats for my photos. This dries slightly textured so you will want top coat to smooth it out. Depending on preference, you will want 1-2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish. This will be a little tricky to remove due to all of the those glitters.

Adored Colors – The Mind Saver

Inspiration: The Psychonauts 2
Description: murky/swampy greenish brown base filled with silver scattered holo hexes and deep purple with gold, yellow and green under-toned glitter.
Price: $11 for 15ml Cap: 30

The Mind Saver had a great formula. The base color reminded me of the color camel maybe a light mocha. I wasn’t seeing a murky green in person. It was very opaque for a crelly-like polish. The glitters spread out evenly and easily on their own.

I really love the base color of this paired with the glitters. This is a solid 2 coater. The glitters dry down fairly textured but 1 layer of top coat seems to smooth them out. Removal will be tricky if you choose to scrub this one off.

My Indie Polish – Balloon People

Inspiration: Inside
Description: a crelly has a lot of great glitters but there are turquoise, grey, and larger red glitters that are super random. Every mani is totally random, like the game
Price: $12 for 15ml Cap: 75

Balloon People had a great formula. It was thinner than I had expected but it didn’t feel watery. I didn’t have any application issues. The base is a cool toned grey with *slight* taupe/violet vibes to it. Paired with the glitters, it makes for a very unique polish in my opinion. This has a really fun glitter mix in it with glitters in stars, hearts, circles in various sizes.

The larger glitters are very sparse on the nail. Tanya, said that the polish is purposefully created so that the glitters you get on the nail are totally random. This is very much true. I ran this through my polish shaker twice and kept the bottle upside down between coats trying to get the stars and heart shaped glitters out. And they were still very sparse.

I didn’t remember to look at the description while I was swatching this, so I was a little disappointed about not getting more fun-shaped glitters on my nails. However, after reading how the polish is supposed to be, I get it and take back my disappointment! I thought this was a fun twist on a glitter polish.

I used 3 coats for my photos. I think this will be a solid 3 coater as it was a little sheer in 2 coats. Remove will be a little tricky from all of the glitters.

Note: I did use glitter placement on my pointer and middle finger nails. This polish is very much a ‘you get what you get’ when it comes to the large glitters.

Swamp Gloss- Everyone, Everyone Is Free

Inspiration: Oxenfree
Description: A navy blue base with red/gold/green flakes
Price: $13 for 15ml Cap: 150

Everyone, Everyone Is Free has a great jelly formula. It is on the sheer side so it will need to be built up. I didn’t have any application issues.

The flakies pair really nicely in this base. They are very color shifty. I used 3 coats (with a thicker final coat) for my photos. In 3 coats you get a nice deep navy blue that’s just slightly not as dark as what I was seeing in the bottle.

Natural nails will most likely have some moderate VNL. I think it might look a hair darker on natural nails as well. On my thumbnail, I used 3 coats over a blurring base coat.

Note: The polish was previously named Oxenfree so my label is incorrect.
