Hi friends! So this blog post is part to showoff these really cool custom polishes that Darlene of Sweet & Sour Lacquer made for me and part to announce a giveaway!
I hit 2,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel a lot faster than I anticipated (I’m actually really close to hitting 3,000 subscribers *mind blown*) and wanted to celebrate by giving y’all something special.

Summerween
Summerween was inspired by a polish that I mixed up with my YouTube audience during one of my livestreams this past summer. Basically, we wanted to create something that was bright, fun, and summery but since I was kinda over summer at that point, also Halloweeny because I love Halloween. A neon pink base with Halloween vibes is pretty much MY vibe.
Below is a swatch of the original polish that we made on live. It didn’t have half of the components that Darelene used. When she told me about the skull glitters? Um yeah I couldn’t say no. So Summerween has a mix of white skull glitters, bats, stars, black shreds as well some holographic.
This polish is basically my dream polish. The glitters do give this one quite a bit of texture so I did pair it with a glitter smoothing top coat before my quick dry top coat.
My photos show Summerween in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Removal is going to be very difficult with this one. I used a peel off base coat and had no issues.
The Nicole
The Nicole was originally a custom polish that Darlene had just randomly mixed up and thought of me. If you follow me on either Instagram or YouTube, you would have seen me posting about this polish.
This is a glitter topper in a clear base so my photos do show it in 1 coat over a Bee’s Knees polish I swatched a few months ago. No I can’t remember what the polish is but it happens in July.
This polish has a TON of different glitters in it. There are hearts, circles, squares, hexes, bars and stars. I didn’t hold my bottle upside down to get this amazeballs coverage nor did I do any fishing for the glitters.
