Moonflower Polish | Dream In Color Collection

[Press Samples – Post Disclosure Page]

Hey friends! Today I have a new collection from Moonflower Polish! This collection has a really beautiful color story and I think these will look fantastic with nail art. This collection is available right now on the Moonflower Polish website. As always, I will have links and sale details at the end of the post.

If you are new to the brand, Moonflower Polish is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are 5 free, vegan and cruelty free.

Live Swatch Video

Red My Mind

Description: blood red crelly with gold-green-orange-red shifting aurora shimmer

Red My Mind had a great formula. The shimmer was mainly showing the red to orange shift with a greenish gold at extreme angles. The brush strokes all disappear as the polish dries.

This was the most opaque out of all of the polishes. I used 2 coats for my photos. I didn’t have any issues with staining.

Orange You A Dream

Description: orange crelly with blue-gold-pink-purple color shifting aurora shimmer.

Orange You A Dream had a great formula. It was a slightly more sheer and jelly like in comparison to Red My Mind. To my eye, it seems like there are 2 different types of shimmer in this. One being more smooth and the second being similar to a micro flakie or fleck?

This will be opaque in 2-3 coats. If you go in for thicker coats it will be opaque in 2. My live swatch nail was good in 2 coats, my other nails needed 3 for full opacity.

Wildest Green

Description: emerald green crelly with gold-green-orange-red shifting aurora shimmer.

Wildest Green also had a great formula. The green base is kind of a fall green to me. Not quite a pine green but slightly more dusky than what I think of when I think emerald green. The shimmer is similar to the previous polish in that it seems like there’s a smooth shimmer and a larger fleck like shimmer.

This will be opaque in 2-3 coats. Shorter nails will probably be good in 2. Longer nails, if you use thick coats you can be good in two. I use 2-3 coats for my photos.

Once In A Blue Moon

Description: cobalt blue crelly with gold-green-orange-pink shifting aurora shimmer.

Once In A Blue Moon also had a great formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. This shade of blue is one of my favorite shades of blue.

Like the previous 2 polishes, the shimmer aspect seems to have a smooth shimmer and then a larger fleck-like shimmer. The smooth shimmer looks like gold to green color shift and the smaller “flecks” have a orange to pink shift.

This will be opaque in 2-3 coats depending on thickness of coats. I used 3 coats for my photos. I didn’t have any issues with staining.

Violet Visions

Description: violet crelly with blue-gold-pink-purple color shifting aurora shimmer.

Violet Visions had a (surprise!) great formula. It was the sheerest out of all of the polishes in this release. I think this is the only polish that I think most if not everyone will need 3 coats for full opacity. The third coat deepens the color to what you see in the bottle.

The violet base is beautiful paired with the shimmer. This one to my eye looks like a larger particle shimmer that shifts blue to purple to pink with a hint of gold at extreme angles.

I used 3 coats for my photos. I didn’t have any issues with staining.

Final Thoughts

I thought this was a great collection. I’m a sucker for releases that follow a rainbow color story and even without a yellow, I really enjoyed this one. Nadia always has great formulas with her polishes and these were no exception.
