MLF Lacquer Swatches

I was originally going to post these back in July (when I posted them to my Instagram). However, the blog post I was going to include them in (polishes I wore in July) never got published. I am publishing these now because I really loved these two and wanted to share. Yes, my nails are natural and short here. This is how long they were when I removed my acrylic.

I purchased both of these during a sale during July (I want to say during 4th of July weekend but my memory is awful). I came across this brand at some point a few months ago on Instagram and really liked the polishes that I saw. These polishes were my first time trying the formula from MLF Lacquer. Spoiler: it’s great! So that’s enough chit chat, let’s get in to the swatches!

Disclaimer: I purchased all of the products in this post. My photos were taken indoors with daylight bulbs on my natural nails. Links/discount codes containing * are affiliate links.

Just Wingin’ It: Sunkissed

Just Winging it: Sunkissed is a white crelly with gold, orange and pink glitters. When the photos of this polish were posted on Instagram I knew I had to have this! It was opaque in 2 coats but I added a third for more glitter payoff. Totally worth it but also unnecessary because it was just as beautiful in 2 coats. Due to all of the glitter it dried down textured so 1-2 coats of top coat is recommended for a smooth finish. Sadly this was only available during the month of July on the MLF Lacquer website.

Yellow Submarine

Yellow Submarine is described as a yellow crelly with turquoise and silver holographic glitters. I don’t own very many yellow glitter crellies and none of them look anything like this polish. It’s really beautiful and I was surprised that I ended up liking this more than Sunkissed. I don’t usually favor yellow over pink so it was a shocker for me! Really great formula and it was opaque for me in 2 coats. It dried down textured so I use 1 coat of the Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber top coat and 1 coat of my normal glossy top coat for my photos. I wore this for a few days and didn’t have any issues with staining.

I also did some nail art over Yellow Submarine. I used the Maniology plate BM XL201 and the stamping polish Empire Club. As always I do have an affiliate coupon code with Maniology to save 10%, it is NLN10.

I really enjoyed both of these polishes. The MLF Lacquer crelly formula is very easy to use and I didn’t have to do anything special to get the glitters to distribute evenly. I highly recommend checking this brand out! Really great polishes and the owner is really friendly. As always, thanks for reading!
