Hey friends! Today’s blog post is a bit of an oopsie. I originally had this post planned to go up a while ago and only just realized that I didn’t post it when I thought I did. Good news is that the sale period for the July Little Box Of Horrors didn’t open yet so there’s still plenty of time to shop.

Hearts & Promises – Season 4 Is Here
Inspiration: the announcement of Season 4
Description: a red leaning pink polish loaded with silver reflective glitter and red metallic flakies

Season 4 Is Here had a great jelly formula. It’s on the more sheer side you wanna build it up for the most opacity. However, you will still have very obvious VNL with this even after 3 coats.
The reflective glitters in here were super sparkly and looked amazing out in the sun. They do give off quite a bit of texture so doubling up on top coat will give you a smoother finish. I used a glitter smoothing top coat before my quick dry top coat.
My photos show Season 4 Is Here in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Since this polish is so sheer it does have the potential to be used as a topper.
Removal will be on the more difficult and messy side if you scrub it off.

Music City Beauty – I Dump Your Ass
Inspiration: Eleven’s 80s outfit while out with Max.
Description: A full coverage microglitter with navy, baby blue and bright pink holo microglitters and blue reflective glitter

I Dump Your Ass had a great formula. It was very much on the thicker side but I found still found easy to apply. It reminded me a lot of a purple version of this brand’s polish called Moraine (Music City Beauty Spring 2022 Collection).
This polish has a metric ton of glitters in it (ok I’m exaggerating but it’s still *a lot* of glitter) so while it is on the thick side it was also very opaque. I don’t see anyone needing more than 2 coats to reach full opacity. If your nails are very short you might even be good in 1 coat.
The glitters do give this polish quite a bit of texture and they are very top coat hungry. I ended up needing 3 coats of top coat to completely smooth this polish out.
I found this polish to be incredibly sparkly and gorgeous. In the sun, it was had a sparkle factor that was really incredible. I could see both silver and blue reflects in person.
My photos show I Dump Your Ass in 2 coats plus 3 coats of top coat. I used 1 coat of a glitter smoothing top coat and then 2 coats of quick dry top coat. Removal will be very difficult if you scrub this one off.

Night Owl Lacquer – Friends Don’t Lie
Inspiration: Eleven
Description: a blackened violet with burgundy/bronze/copper/gold multichrome shimmer and bronze reflective glitter
Price: $12.40 for 15ml | No cap
Friends Don’t Lie had a fantastic formula. The base surprisingly didn’t feel thick at all despite having the reflective glitters in it. It started out a little sheer but it built up really nicely.
The multichrome shimmer was as described and I didn’t see any brush strokes through it. The reflective glitters do give this polish some texture so I would recommend doubling up on top coat to get it perfectly smooth. I was able to see both silver and bronze reflects in person.
My photos show Friends Don’t Lie in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. Coverage is passable in 2 coats but I did find that the third coat deepened the base color as well as added some opacity.
Removal will be on the more difficult/messy side if you scrub this polish off.
