Hey friends! Today I am sharing a few items that are coming to the June Hella Handmade Creations shop.

Hella Handmade Creations is a monthly indie polish collaboration. Makers each pick their own theme and make a series of polishes based on that theme. Each month brands have a new polish, that is exclusive to the Hella Handmade Creations website.
All Mixed Up Lacquers – Dance With Me!
Theme: 80’s Rock Bands
Inspiration: Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (Pain is Love Album)
Description: a bright pink with holographic flakies, 2 different intense iridescent colorshift flakies, and ucc flakes.
Price: $12 for 15ml | Cap: 150
Dance With Me! had a fantastic formula. The base starts off fairly sheer but it does build up easily. I found the base color to be a *very* bright-basically-a-neon hot pink. I completely spaced on checking if this also glows under blacklight but I have a feeling that it does.
The flakies and glitters all spread out evenly and easily without giving the polish texture. They also look amazing with a matte top coat!
My photos show Dance With Me! in 3 coats plus both glossy and matte top coats. Removal won’t be overly difficult but I still wouldn’t suggest scrubbing it off.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer – Set Your Heart Ablaze
Theme: Demon Slayer (New theme!)
Inspiration: Rengoku
Description: a peachy orange with fiery red shimmer and holo flakes
Price: $13.50 for 15ml | Cap: None
Set Your Heart Ablaze had a beautiful formula. The base didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. I found the base color to be accurate. The shimmer was very strong and glowy. I wrote in my notes that I was seeing red, gold, and green at *very* extreme angles. The predominant colors seem to be red/gold though.
My hands tends to photograph very warm toned and I found this polish really brought out the warm tones in my skin. The holographic flakies spread out without giving off any texture. I tweaked my lighting in photo #5 to better show the holographic.
My photos show Set Your Heart Ablaze in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I did have some slight VNL on the clear part of my nail. Looking at my photos I feel like I can see a hint of VNL where my natural nails are but I don’t recall seeing that in person.
Nothing in here will be difficult to remove and I didn’t experience any staining.

Colores De Carol – Cartagena
Theme: South America Landmarks
Inspiration: Cartagena
Description: a mint green crelly with matte glitters in different colors, shapes and sizes
Price: $12.50 for 15ml | Cap: 100
Cartagena had a beautiful formula. The base was on the thicker side but what I would expect from a glitter crelly. It starts off a little sheer/patchy so you will want to build it up for opacity.
The glitters all spread out very evenly and easily without needing to do anything special. They will give the polish some texture so pairing this with either a glitter smoothing top coat or double up on your top coat will give you the smoothest finish possible.
My photos show Cartagena in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. I paired this polish with the KBShimmer Smooth Moves glitter smoothing top coat before going in with my quick dry top coat. Removal will be very difficult if you try to scrub this off. I used a peel off base coat.

Hearts & Promises – Grease Lightning
Theme: Grease
Description: a silver base with assorted silver micro glitters as well as silver reflective glitter and rainbow iridescent flakies
Price: $13 for 15ml | Cap: 300
Grease Lightning had a really great formula. This is jam PACKED with glitters and is incredibly sparkly! The base didn’t feel overly thick at all but you will want to build it up to get the most opacity. I found this is sheer enough in 1 coat that it could also be used as a topper.
I can’t stress enough how holographic this polish is in person. Paired with the reflective glitters, you get a lot of sparkle and twinkles on the nail.
My photos show Grease Lightning in 3 coats plus 2 coats of top coat. I also swatched it in 1 coat over a black creme (Heather’s Hues Shadow). Removal will be very difficult if you try to scrub this polish off. I used a peel off base coat.

Heather’s Hues – Therefore I Am
Theme: Billie Eilish
Description: a neon yellow green crelly with gold-green-teal shimmer, holo flakes, silver reflective glitter, black holo glitters and black microshreds
Price: $12.50 for 15ml | Cap: None
Therefore I Am had a gorgeous formula. It is a BRIGHT neon green with a bit of a highlighter yellow/green look to it in person. It was really really hard to photograph. I ended up having to color correct it as it photographed more yellow than anything.
The flakies all spread out evenly without giving off much texture. I found the reflective glitters were on the more delicate side than the more in for your face reflects. They also seem to be the smoother variety than the more textured reflective glitters so I didn’t need to double up on top coat to get a smooth finish.
My photos show in 3 coats plus both glossy and matte top coats. I think this will be a 2-3 coater depending on nail length and how you feel about VNL. Removal won’t be overly difficult and I didn’t experience any staining.
Heather’s Hues – WiTS in Sugar Bears
Description: a fruity blend of tangy lemon, juicy orange, peach, grape, coconut, raspberry, pear, and plum, all over a sugary vanilla base
Ingredients: avocado oil, sweet almond oil, rice bran oil, babassu oil, jojoba oil, oat extract oil, buckthorn extract, kukui nut oil, chia seed oil, vitamin E, vegetable glycerin, BTMS-50 (emulsifying wax), stearic acid, shea butter, aloe vera, distilled water, and Optiphen (preservative). Scented options contain skin-safe fragrance oil.

This month’s scent smells ah-mazing! To my nose, it smells sweet and fruit with notes of citrus. This is the exact fragrance profile that has me sniffing my hands for longer than I would like to admit after applying.
The Heather’s Hues WiTS lotion is my all-time favorite lotion in the whole world.

Night Owl Lacquer – Car Number B-lue-Berry
Theme: Psych
Inspiration: Season 5 Episode 13, We’d Like to Thank the Academy
Description: a multichrome that shifts aqua/blue/indigo/violet.
Price: $13 for 15ml | Cap: None
Car Number B-Lue-Berry had a fantastic formula. I found the base to be on the thicker side of normal but in the ‘this is real opaque’ side and not the hard to work with side.
The multichrome I would say is on the more subtle side and does show some brush strokes. To my eye, it’s a bright blue, darker blue to purple color shift.
My photos show Car Number B-Lue-Berry in 2 coats plus glossy top coat. Nothing in here will be difficult to remove and I didn’t experience any staining.
