Hey friends! Today I am sharing the newest release from Heather’s Hues. You read that title correctly, for July Heather’s Hues is releasing a trio instead of a duo!
For July the theme is Best Vacation Ever. To add to the excitement this blog post is the 1 year anniversary of me officially swatching for Heather’s Hues!

Heather’s Hues is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are handmade, 5 free, vegan, and cruelty free.

Finestra De Italia
Description: an apricot jelly kissed with a turquoise shimmer and packed with a mix of teal and turquoise glitters in a variety of sizes.
Finestra De Italia had a great formula. The glitters spread out evenly and easily on their own. I didn’t need to hold the bottle upside down between coats. The green shimmer is pretty strong but the glitters are the star of the show.
This will be opaque in 2-3 coats depending on preference. This has good coverage in 2 coats but I did have some VNL so I used 3 coats for my photos.
1 coat of top coat smoothed this out nicely. I swatched this over a peel off base coat that I’m trying out so I didn’t have any issues on removal. I would imagine scrubbing this off will be on the tricky side.
Northern Lights
Description: a lime green crelly packed with a teal-green-violet-gold shimmer, a mix of iridescent and multichrome flakes in blue-teal-green-violet and a mix of glitters in lavender, purple, teal, and green
Northern Lights had a great formula. This is a very bright, basically a neon, green! The shimmer and flakies look so beautiful in this base. I also was seeing a tiny bit of holo sparkle in this polish.
This will be a 2-3 coater depending on preference and potentially nail length. I used 3 coats for my photos. Nothing in here dries textured and removal should be fairly easy.
This polish is a very close nearly dupe for a mystery polish (Mystery Polish 1120-08) that I included in my Favorite Polishes Of 2021 (So Far) video. Northern Lights polish leans *slightly* more green whereas the mystery polish was more highlighter yellow-green. The flakies also seem to be slightly different but in person, they are nearly identical. The polish in that video was never officially released so this is a great alternative!
Sunset In The Smokies
Description: a beautiful candy red jelly packed with red-orange-pink-gold shimmer and iridescent flakes.
Sunset In The Smokies had a great formula. The description is spot on, it’s a beautiful candy apple red in person. The shimmer is very strong and I was seeing the described colors. The flakies give a nice scattering on the nail and do not dry textured.
This will be a 2-3 coater depending on preference and application. I did have some hints of VNL on some angles in direct lighting

The July trio is available right now on the Heather’s Hues website. Each polish is $12.50 or you can purchase the trio for $37.50. These will be available for the entire month of July and will be replaced with the August duo. At the time of upload, the June duo (reviewed here) is still available.
