Hey friends! Today’s first blog post is for a new collection by Glisten & Glow. This is their 4 piece collection called Inner Peace.

All of the polishes in this release have the same 2-3 coat formula and application so to keep it from being too repetitive, I will talk formula in my Final Thoughts portion of the post.

Glisten & Glow is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly.
Exhale the Past
Description: light peach crème polish with green metallic flakes
Exhale the Past I found the base color for this polish leaned *slightly* in the more tan to peach direction. It also dried down a little darker than it applied and how it appears in the bottle.
The green metallic flakes are a minty green shade. They do not dry down textured but you will want top coat for a glossy finish. This polish will be a 2-3 coater depending on personal preference.
Inhale the Future
Description: light seafoam green crème polish with copper metallic flakes
Inhale the Future I found the base color is a sea foam shade that leans a little blue toned in person. It’s not like a robin’s egg blue but I am still honestly undecided if I think it’s more green or blue. It’s like right in the middle of the two.
My photos show Inhale The Future in 3 coats plus top coat. I think it will be a 2-3 coater depending on nail length and application.
Just Breathe
Description: blue toned gray crème polish with blue metallic flakes
Just Breathe As far as the base color goes, I would probably call it a gray toned blue and not a blue toned gray. Yes that is splitting hairs but that’s what my eyes are seeing. Like many of the other polishes in this release, it does dry down a little darker than it applies.
My photos show Just Breathe in 3 coats plus top coat. This one will be another 2-3 coater depending on personal preference. It dries down a little dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
Mindful Meditation
Description: light orchid crème polish with purple metallic flakes
Mindful Meditation the base color on this polish was as described. On the first coat, it was the sheerest out of the collection. However, it reached full opacity in 2 coats.
I found this polish also dried a little darker than it applied. It also dries a little flat so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.
My photos show Mindful Meditation in 3 coats plus top coat. It will be a 2-3 coater depending on personal preference. I honestly didn’t see a difference in color or opacity between 2 and 3 coats.
I couldn’t help myself and I HAD to do a skittle with all of the polishes. And because the entire time I was swatching them I was wondering how they look matte, I also added a matte top coat. As I type up this post, I still have this mani on!
Side note, for this skittle, I am wearing all of the polishes in 2 coats as opposed to the 3 coats that I did for the main photos.
Final Thoughts
As I mentioned, all of the polishes in this release have the same formula. None of the bases felt overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application or formula issues. While I used 3 coats for all of my swatch photos, when I decided to wear these for my own personal wear, I have them on in 2 coats.
As someone who generally doesn’t love pastel-ish releases, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these. They are just dark enough that they aren’t like super pastel. But I feel like if you are a seasonal polish wearer, this will be a good quad to use as we move towards spring.
Mindful Meditation and Just Breathe are my top picks.
