Glam Polish Charmed Collection (9 Year Anniversary Collection)

[Press Samples – Post Disclosure Page]

Hey friends! I am so excited to share this collection with you guys. This collection is inspired by one of my favorite TV shows of all time, Charmed. *cue fangirl screaming* This is Glam Polish’s first appearance on my blog however they have been around for quite a while! In fact, this collection will be part of the 9 YEAR anniversary!

My internet is acting up so my live swatch is taking forever to upload. It will be up either later tonight or tomorrow. Btw, I am also still doing a giveaway over on my YouTube channel so be sure to check out this video if you would like to take part!

The Charmed collection launches on November 25th on the Glam Polish website. The collection will have 10 polishes in it total, I am only sharing 5 of them. As always, full sale details can be found at the end of the post. I also have all of the sale info for Glam Polish’s Black Friday sale!

Glam Polish is an Australian based indie brand. Their polishes are handmade, 5 free, vegan and cruelty free.

Cut The Cryptic Crap

Description: a clear Base with aurora shimmer, a mix of matte and metallic glitter and glitter shreds

Cut The Cryptic Crap had a beautiful formula. This polish has a TON of glitter in it. In the bottle, I actually thought this had a colored base in it due to the amount of neon green that I was seeing. I found all of those components spread out evenly and easily without needing to do anything special. I didn’t notice a difference in glitter coverage between holding the bottle upside down and not.

The shimmer in this is very strong, in person I was seeing a red, gold to green color shift. Since this polish is in the clear base, you will want to build it up in 3 coats for the most opacity or use it as a topper. There will be some VNL in 3 coats, I found the shimmer and glitters largely distract from it but it is there.

I swatched Cut The Cryptic Crap in 3 coats on its own plus 1 coat over Orly’s Awestruck (review: Orly Momentary Wonders Color Pass Winter 2021). I found that as a topper, I only needed 1 coat of top coat for a smooth finish. However, in 3 coats I used a glitter eating top coat before my quick dry top coat, to completely smooth it out.

Removal on this will be on the difficult side if you try to scrub it off. For easiest removal, I would recommend soaking this polish off or pairing it with a peel off base coat.

The Power Of Three Will Set You Free

Description: a bright pink crelly with aurora shimmer and black glitter mix

The Power Of Three Will Set You Free had a fantastic crelly formula. It did have a tendency to run down the stem of the brush a little bit but nothing that made application difficult. This polish is an extremely bright neon pink shade. I found it did glow under blacklight.

The glitters all spread out evenly and easily without needing to do anything special. Holding the bottle upside down between coats won’t be necessary for great glitter payoff.

This polish starts off on the more sheer side so you’re going to want to build it up for the most opacity. I found in two coats it had pretty good coverage but it wasn’t quite as opaque as I would have liked.

My photos show The Power Of Three Will Set You Free in 3 coats. I used 1 coat of top coat for my photos but I found that the glitters are a little top coat hungry. So I would recommend pairing this polish with a glitter eating top coat before going in with your usual top coat.

Removal on this will be a little difficult due to the glitters.

We Kick Evil’s Ass Every Day

Description: Indigo jelly with aurora shimmer, neon pink glitter mix and ultra holo glitter.

We Kick Evil’s Ass Every Day had a beautiful formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. The glitters in this spread out very evenly and easily without giving off too much texture. The neon pink glitters in particular really pop from the base. You also get a pretty twinkle from the holographic glitter.

I found the base color leans very navy blue to my eye. Since this polish is a jelly, I think it will look best in 3 coats. I found it had pretty even coverage in 2 coats but it was on the sheer side. If you don’t mind VNL, it’s passable in 2 coats.

While this polish doesn’t dry down super textured, I did pair it with glitter eating top coat since the previous polish proved to be quite hungry for top coat. I found this removed very easily with the soak off method.

You Are A Warlock Magnet

Description: Black jelly with aurora shimmer, shifting iridescent flakies, copper ultra holo glitter.

You Are A Warlock Magnet also had a really great formula. I found it had a tendency to run down the stem of the brush a little bit but nothing that caused application issues. I found the shimmer and flakies had a strong copper/reddish to gold to green color shift. The glitters give this a really pretty sparkle.

Since it is a jelly, it started off on the sheer side. I found to really see that black base, you will want to wear this one in 3 coats. In 2 coats, it looked like a sheer murky greenish color.

My photos show You Are A Warlock Magnet in 3 coats. This polish seemed to dry down fairly smooth so I only used 1 coat of top coat for my photos. Removal on it won’t be overly difficult.

You’re Just A Ray Of Sunshine Now, Aren’t Ya?

Description: a gold holo with shifting iridescent flakies, aurora shimmer and red glitter mix.

You’re Just A Ray Of Sunshine Now, Aren’t Ya? had a fantastic formula. All of the flakies and glitters spread out evenly and easily on their own without needing to do anything special. The base is VERY holographic and didn’t feel overly thick or thin.

The holographic and the glitters to be the star of the show in this polish. The flakies will pop more in low light situations.

I found this polish had pretty decent coverage in 2 coats but I thought it looked best in 3 coats. This polish will also dry down fairly dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish.

I soaked this polish off with no issues.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed this collection. Charmed is one of my favorite shows so of course I geeked out when I saw the names for these polishes! My top picks are going to be The Power Of Three Will Set You Free and We Kick Evil’s Ass Every Day.
